He will play with Pau at some point,it's inevitable...

The question is,do we want them to play 30 mins together or less?If he starts he gets to play more with Pau,if he's the backup he'll play less

Probably going to be trial and error for a while? Even though the season hasn't started I'm starting to fall in love with this new team we have already.

Bring on the season already:)

Tomorrow's game will tell quite a bit on what happens with the big man rotation.

Kaman pnp is money but Pau is an exploitable guy on his Pnr d as well as his failed pnp J. I rather they play a 28/20 split to keep them both fresh and allow them to finish the year

I'm thinking
Pau(28) / Kaman(20)
Hill(20) / Wes (15) / Shawne (13)
Nick (24) / Kobe (10) / Henry (14)
Kobe (24) / Blake (20)
Nash (24) / Farmar (24)

Nash, Blake, Hill, Pau, and Kaman are all prone to injury. They need their minutes monitored

Meeks rounds out the active roster since you can dress 13. Sacre gets some D league time and is used as a practice body alongside Harris. I don't see Kelly making it short of Meeks being traded for a 2nd rounder like Jumaine Jones was quickly enough years ago after camp so Profit could get a spot

Ramona Shelburne ✔ @ramonashelburne

Kaman's not playing because Pau is. He's not hurt. D'Antoni's just spreading minutes around/resting veterans

So....Kaman's not playing tomorrow it seems

We'll just have to wait and see how him and Gasol will mesh

I'm really liking kaman. Hill seems so useless on offense aside from Ronny Turiaf type plays. Meh

I don't think there's any question after tonight's game that Kaman and pau should be the starting frontcourt. The movement, passing and spacing with those guys was a total treat to watch.

They even combined well on defense to block Lawson's drives to the basket.

They might be slow and get exploited on some pick and roll match ups but that's a situation tailor made for a guy like Sean Williams.

I just think their to slow to get back from offensive to the defensive end. And even if we go tall like this both aren't great rebounders and are bothered by athletes. We'll get hurt more on the defensive transition by having them play together for long stints of time

At this point I don't really care who starts between Kaman and Hill.......both should see plenty of mins

I want to see a 3 man rotation with the 3 of them like we use to roll back in the day with Gasol/Bynum/Odom
Shawne Williams can be our Josh Powell and play spot mins when we need to score some points or one of the 3 are injured or in foul trouble

Not a big fan of playing 11-12 guys a night and neither is D'Antoni....it's useless to expect all our players to get a run on the floor when our coach isn't known for running a deep rotation

A solid 9 man rotation(with the end of the rotation guys playing 15 mins at least) with guys playing just enough minutes to not get dead tired is ideal....builds the chemistry between different rotations and productivity should be high...talking about ideal scenario, when injuries/foul trouble or just odd matchups occur we need to mix it up a bit

I think 8 players are surefire rotation players at this point when Kobe gets back and the team is all healthy
Nash,Farmar,Blake,Kobe,Young,Hill,Kaman,Gasol...the rest of the team will fight for the rest of the mins which shouldn't be a lot

You need to have alternatives out there that don't complain about playing time. It'd be nice to get Dante Cunningham for Hill who really is more of a small C. That would be a nice balanced rotation and you could play to the match-ups without big egos getting in the way.

aside his injury prone, Hill is much much much much much much better than Cunningham.

I'm liking Williams as far as I've seen this preseason. Hill is doing his thing, and that should be being an enforcer coming from the bench, wich is perfect for him.
Kaman and Gasol can and should play together a lot of minutes. They can both play off the ball unlike Howard last year (the intelligent player LOL), and can score in the low post or midrange

I think the way Mike D hinted at Hill looking good as the backup Center on the 2nd unit the other night shows he may not start Hill. So now its between Kaman and WIlliams... While most on here some to be in favor of Kaman (I'm in the middle on this one) I really dont think we should count out Shawne Williams starting. A 6'9 Pick and pop shooter is EXACTLY what Mike D loves to have in his offense. And while he's not as good on defense as Shawn Marion he's not bad on that end of the court

At this point, I'm just glad it appears we have 3 solid options to pair with Pau.

Though I wish the experiment of playing Wesley Johnson at the 4 would end (hopefully Kaman and Williams' play marks the end of that). I get that MDA says he has the 2nd longest wingspan on the team other than Pau, but let him play SG/SF, that's a much larger advantage right there. Plus we won't get pounded on the glass as much.

I'm more interested in fit, but if you believe they can bet an even better player than Cunningham in the mold I described than that would be even better.

This is how I see it as well...its between Kaman and Williams...with Kaman now having the advantage after the last game.
