I love Konoplyanka man. Shades of Robbery about him. Was hoping Liverpool would ur €15M on him. His agent is from Merseyside too.

Future news: Spurs sign Konoplyanka.

my friend once tried to explain to me why kyle walker is superior to bacary sagna. He still won't concede defeat in that discussion after this.

Tbf, Kyle Walker's break out year coincided with Sagna's awful one. Remember when Sagna looked exhausted after 20 minutes?

Everyone knows that the Gerrard/Lampard central midfield partnership inexorably leads to glory.

yeah ahahaa , sagna was awful last year after his back to back leg breaks. Never seen him make as many mistakes as he did last year before. Looks back to his old self this year so far though.

Atleast Roy isn't playing Gareth Barry like that idiot Capello did. Looks like Sven might actually have been the best English manager in the last decade

He also had by far the best talent. Not a single player on this England team would start for Sven's with the exception of maybe Hart.

Yeah, but this England squad might beat Sven's group in a footrace, so there.

Roy definitely handicaps the team, but theirs just not much creativity and ingenuity from the wings. Add Roy misplaying the midfield trio, as Gerard should not be at the bottom of the triangle, especially when England desperately needs a carrick to settle them in possession. I think carrick and Wilshere are probably the two guys they need to be playing regularly in the middle, with one of Gerard, cleverley, Henderson or lampard as the third man. The attacking trio is still pretty weak but that midfield would at least feed them in dangerous positions more often and give England better control of the match.

Everywhere reporting Andros Townsend to get the start today. Nice to have a real winger, but wish we had one with more end product.

Hopefully we can get the win we need.

Gerrard - Lampard in a 2-man midfield. Its like we've been living in a vacuum since 2006.

Gerrard and Lampard in a midfield two. LMFAO! Townsend and Walker on the right for England. I can't breathe. Watching this game for the lols and the inevitable Sturridge injury.

Don't fret England. 3 more years before Rossiter starts bossing that midfield.

How awesome would it be if England didn't even qualify?
