Maybe during the peak of the Golden Generation hype, but not now. These days, a draw is a perfectly acceptable result unless they are facing San Marino. Btw until 5-6 years ago, Spain wasn't all that in international competitions either.

Spain were more like big chokers in early 00s. They would dominate the group and lose the first knockout game.

england got too many forwards out there , need to bring on a midfielder to take control of the game , jack or carrick should be coming on

Is it bad that I don't want any Arsenal regulars to play for their countries?

I like England but I'd be fine with Wilshere never getting picked so he can stay healthy, and rest for Arsenal. They just get injured in pointless friendlies and stuff way too often.
