IF KCP steps up and plays well right away, this will go well for us. If not, then we are seriously vulnerable until Stuckey gets back and gets back in the groove.
In the meantime, we will always have a SG on the floor who has the potential to hit a lot of 3 pt shots. KCP, Billups, Singler. That also suggests that we'll have a lesser need for CV to ever be on the floor instead of JJ (since the only thing CV gives us is his super-hot very streaky stretch-4 ability), and that frees up Smith to play more minutes at PF.

Re: Stuckey out with broken thumb
I am a silver lining guy, and even though it sucks that Stucks broke his thumb, its a good thing for KCP. Now he will get a certain amount of minuets because there is no one else, period.
I fully expect Stuckey to be buried on the end of the bench when he gets back.

Re: Stuckey out with broken thumb
It would be surprising to see Stuckey riding the pine. He's a talented guy in a contract year. Perhaps he'll someday return to the unfocused play we've seen far too much of but not this season. This season he'll play his butt off and the Pistons have every incentive to see that happen. Even if he's burned his bridges here no matter what they want to maximize his trade value. The ideal situation for the Pistons is for him to excel so they can package him with some other Pistons for an upgrade at the point guard or small forward position.

Context is really important, you know that right?mattyj wrote:wow guys are cheering for an injury to a pistons player? you guys are really sad
Stuckey injured his thumb. People want to see other players get his time. People are pleased that other people will get playtime.
That is not cheering an injury, that is you seeing it that way, because your looking for exactly that.
I am happy other players will get playtime, that needed to get playtime other then Stuckey. That does not mean I am "cheering for his injury". I wanted other players to get more playtime. It worked out that way.

If you DIDN'T get the fact people are cheering his injury from reading this thread then you're looking NOT to.

Yeah I guess that's true as well. The situation just sucks because smashing your thumb in a car door has got to be painful as hell.DetroitSho wrote:zeebneeb wrote:Context is really important, you know that right?mattyj wrote:wow guys are cheering for an injury to a pistons player? you guys are really sad

cheering someone that got injured is never a good move.
