Bennett took over in the 4th but on the whole all of the Cavs younger players out played the Magic's in the 4th.

Its early, but can Bennett and Thompson coexist?

Obviously Bennett went nuts late and has the offensive potential to be a nice player in this league but Thompson, much like Waiters, looks like he is in shape and primed to have a big year.

It will be an interesting dynamic for Brown to manage.

Glad Bennett Is starting to show a little bit of skill set. 14 points In the fourth quarter Is impressive, considering that he looked gassed. Sergey showed off his passing skills and his soft shooting touch. Good day :)

Bennett looks great vs Nickolson of all people. Nickolson makes even Kwame Brown look like the number 1 pick if he were to guard him. Bennett looks pretty bad in all the 3 quarters until the easiest guy to score on would be given Bennett the time of his life.

Yes. Andrew Nicolson is why he started draining three pointers.

Their skill sets are wildly different. They can both play at the same time.

Bennett will have to earn his minutes on the floor by getting better on the defensive end. It was a thing of beauty watching the team under Mike Brown and his commitment to defense. They have played more D in the first two preseason games than all of last year under Scott.

Tristan under Mike Brown is going to be a great defensive player.....can that transition into him playing some 5 and Bennett playing some 4.....well.....I would not count on it early in the year.

It could only work with the right personnel and I think you would need Earl Clark playing the 3 so his length could assist on weak side help.....

i thought that making that one tough basket where he was fouled (uncalled) kind of woke him up.

dude we watch the same game right? who was guarding bennett at the 4th quarter? Nickolson is known to be one of the worst defenders out there period. Bennett got hot in the 4 quarter yes the kid has talents i agree, but it was simply Bennett vs the air since Nickolson is -100 on defense. If a player like maxiell or BBD was guarding him perhaps half of his shots would of went in since they would actually be defended decently.

Now if Bennett can do what he did to Nickolson on daily basis throughout his career (which i am sure he can) then i can give him mad props, for now i don't really recognize much against a player who can't understand where or when to guard.

Bennett missed several wide open shots, especially 3's for the first 3 quarters and he hit a couple of those wide open one's in the 4th. Hitting wide open shots had nothing to do with Nicholson. Now, if you want to say that some of his inside shots in the 4th were because Nicholson was on him, then maybe you get some credence, but it still seems like all you are trying to do is downplay his big 4th so as not to compete with Oladipo's big 3 quarters.

Yes he did miss those wide open shots thats fine he was rusty, but see how many times was Bennett wide open for three against Nickolson? He made sure Nickolson was a average joe like he usually is on defense. Nickolson made alot of bench players last year had career points on him and to no surprise a upcoming rookie with great talents did the same thing that i and the rest of the magic fans are use to when it comes to nickolson and his astrocious defense.

Oladipo did his thing in the first 3 quarters, but i knew as soon as nickolson went to guard Bennett i had a feeling Bennett was going to shake the rust off and be given another chance. Overall, he has the form and he looks great at the 4th quarter, needs to stay consistant doing that but he did it as if this was practice rather then a NBA player who can atleast defend.

Nickolson defense is so bad he give us average joe's hope to play in the NBA. That is just sad and its nothing to be proud off at all. He is that bad and i ain't alone in saying this.

To be honest, Bennett has taken and missed some open 3's for the last 2 games. That said, there are very few players in the NBA that'll guard him out that far especially since he's actually pretty mobile.

Honestly I could care less who was guarding him. I just wanted to see how smooth and refined his offensive game really was. He needs to shed the weight but I'm not worried since Waiters Is sculpted like a God now
The encouraging thing for me so far Is his defense. Which has been quite decent
