How he currently looks:
Needs probably 2-3 years to be a positive influence. Skinny, gets pushed around, game is way too fast for him.

AND......He cause shot alterations while in the paint, he is no punk, he rebounds and gets a lot of tip outs, he appears to have some good developing post moves, and a soft touch (good arch on shot). He did not get any touches in the paint against Portland. So in short, he has the positives and negatives we expect out of a rookie big. He doesn't look like Lopez.

Please stop with the Robin Lopez hate. He has proven to be a solid NBA center. He averaged something like 11, 6, and 2 last year in only 25 minutes a game. He is not a strong rebounder granted, but he boxes out and when he played with us, we were a better rebounding team with him on the court because of it. He is also a decent defender, a great shot blocker, and he actually pretty good on the offensive side, with room to grow. He is a good free throw shooter, has a nice hook shot, and can occasionally hit from mid range. His issue when playing with the Suns was lingering and freak injuries and then losing his role on the team when we got Gortat. He is only 24 or 25, and to be honest, I would rather have him as our starting center instead of Gortat right now. He still has room to grow and is on a good contract. I am excited to see how he does in Portland. He gets to play with a good PF who has an outside touch, it should play to his strengths. OK, I'm done with the Rolo rant now, it just seems everyone loves to hate on this guy, but he was only the 15th pick, not top 5 or anything. People act like he should be out of the league, when the truth is he a a legit 7 footer who has more than decent talent and skills and is a solid NBA center. Looking back, I would say Steve Kerr did a great job getting Dragic and Lopez that year in the draft. Too bad we gave up on both them. At least we brought Goran back...

You did say you hated the Fluker pick and he's looked pretty good so far. As far as Manti Teo goes, that one remains to be seen.

I wanted Star so I'm not impressed with Fluker at all. The lack of a NT is the biggest reason the defense sucks and why their losing and that would have been solved with Star. Liuget and Reyes wouldn't have been stinking up the place with a good NT in that 3-4 D.

I can that pick being like Larry English where we passed on Clay Matthews for English.

I'm very impressed with Keenan Allen though.

Yeah, it would be nice to have a good NT. I miss the days of Jamal Williams taking on double teams and allowing edge rushers to get to the qb. I think Fluker has played well though. I do love Keenan Allen and already picked him up in fantasy.

Fluker has player well but good NTs are much more important in th 3-4 than a RT is. We could have signed a stop gap like Eric Winston or Tyson Clabo and drafted Star instead and we wouldnt have missed a beat on offense but would have been waaaayy better defensively.

And ah, the days of J-Wall, Castillo, and Olshanksy manning the middle with Merriman and Phillips coming in from the outside.....good times, good times....

I didn't mind Lopez. I think the only reason there is so much hate is because we missed out on other players like Roy Hibbert.
