IMO we should just go ahead and start Farmar and let Nash take advantage of 2nd units when he's healthy. When he's not Blake can back him up. Farmar is a much better defensive player and with Kobe back we'd have adequate passing at just about every position. If Nash is going to be in and out of the lineup all season then it's just going to screw with our chemistry.
In watching Nash play the one game his did get significant minutes, he looked rigid in him movement, he seems to not get a lot of lift on him shot which is why you see it kissing the front of the rim most times. This tells me his legs either aren't under him yet, or as we all know the the lower back is the connection to the hip and leads to the legs. It's not uncommon that he had hip issues last season.
But I'm with you semi, I think Jordan needs to be our man on the lead guard as far as starting. For one we can compete on at least an even scale because Jordan can keep up and it's not like those guys are eons ahead of him as far as skill.
To me it's only about 2 lead guards in the league he can't handle and that would be Rondo and Rose, on the other hand they'd have to worry about him too. Jordan can get to the basket because of his speed, he has range on his jumper and he seems to now get the gist of what it takes to play defense. When he came back and said that was the part of his game he wanted to hone, I said then that he was getting it.
Bingo I'm happy you 2 notice this also

Nash could be one of the best backup PG's in basketball. Even in limited minutes he shouldn't be starting. Chasing these little PG's around is wearing his legs down and affecting his shot also. I want a good locker room presence like him in the rotation of course because he can still contribute but we're really kidding ourselves if we think were gonna get +28mpg of productive minutes out of him every night
