Explain Morris Brothers Outlook

Post#1 » by mvpshaq32 » Sun Oct 13, 2013 5:40 am

With Scola out, you think at least one of the brothers will finally make a legit starter?

I like Markieff, but I haven't seen any Suns games to see if he has any potential to be at least a 16-8 player. A part of that is whether he is going to slip into the low block or be a wing player. Frye is back as a 30 year old, so I don't know where he stands in their rotation. Marcus doesn't look like he belongs in the post and should stay at SF, hopefully having Gortat slide to PF and give Len some burn at C.

Marcus 3pt shooting may see him slightly more minutes assuming Suns go run and gun again...

Markieff I predicted to be a 14/7 player with a block a game season but seeing the current roster... The team is lacking another 3pt shooter... And Marcus is the better 3pt shooter out of the 2.

It depends really... But both will get plenty of chances. Both should be looking at 10 ppt atleast and around 5-7 rebounds each.

They both will probably play around 20-25 minutes per game, Markieff at PF, Marcus at SF.

I think Marcus will start a few games this season unless Shannon decides he wants to play to his potential (unlikely).

Markieff is screwed now that Frye is back and we now have Plumlee, who has looked great the first 2 preseason games.

Markieff is competing with Plumlee and Frye for that PF spot.

Everyone's saying that Marcus may start at SF but you guys are forgetting about Tucker. They need a defensive specialist on the court to guard other star forwards and guards. Can't expect Bledsoe to guard guys like Melo, Durant, LeBron etc. And definitely can't expect Marcus to play them well.

Tucker has the most heart and effort on this team. Plus he's the best man defender we have and one of the toughest players we got.

Tucker's gonna start.

Tucker is currently planned to start...

But if he doesn't improve his offense... Marcus will over take him.

The team needs to spread the floor... Only way to get open lanes and help out Bledsoe/Dragic/Goodwin, Len/Plumlee/Morris is to have the defense spread out which opens up lanes and gives open looks.

At worst case Tucker can come in as specialists defender.
If he can develop a reliable 3pt shot, he can be Bowen-lite...

I don't think Tucker's gonna start. Dragic and Bledsoe are below average shooters. Starting a non-shooting SF with them would be a bad idea IMO.

Markieff gets literally no minutes boost from that.
