Physcially, he's built like a school girl, that's why. He doesn't pass the eye test. That doesn't mean he won't be somewhat effective, but he went where he should have.
There were a lot of centers in this draft. Not saying there was a Pat Ewing but they all did something well.
Withey was a shot blocker, X Volleyball player
Then you have players like Plumee, Iverson, Dieng, and Muscala (PF/C)
That along with Len, Noel, Adams ( all high picks )
Like years ago when the league was thin on PG, I think the league is reloading with centers now. They don't have to be All Stars to be effective, specially for a later pick. First they need to protect the paint, alter shots, and rebound. Until the Wizards find a way to address this, I think there will be a lot of unsettled fans.
Okafor helps for now, but he is currently injured. If we have Okafor and Otto healthy I think most would be feeling better about this season.

I remember having draft combinations that had us targeting several of these players in different draft strategies that changed over time as they players moved up and down the draft. I felt this was a good draft to reload with if they were able to clean house from some previous non establish draft picks. I actually wanted them to even add a pick. Put that would have meant it was just another reloading year and next year would more the target for the
In 3 years, when we look back, I think we will see a lot of players that are contributing from this draft.
Even an Iverson 7-0 260 is a decent athlete, could have helped some and could have been had with the 53 pick.
