I spent majority of my time in America in Missouri bro, 3 years of grad school, 2 years on job in St. Louis, including living for 6 months 2 blocks away from Busch stadium. Its hard not to be a Cardinals fan.

My best friends growing up were from Missourah... Yes it's true.

i finally read fight club and the ending of the book is way better. while its somewhat similar to the movie i like how the book doesnt make tyler and the narrator as much protagonist/antagonist as the movie tries to.

dont really remember it that well, but i guess in the medium of film an ambiguous juxtaposition of tyler and his alter-ego wouldnt fare well - movies are visual in nature

you kinda have to spell **** out for a movie is what i mean, cant run the risk of confusing the audience

which works and is more effective imo

oh yeah i mean if you want the protagonist/antagonist device happening which really works when you have an actor like brad pitt, it would be a waste to not do that.

but i think the book is more effective because a lot of things tyler does in the movie, the narrator does in the book. in the movie brad pitt is more of the "bad guy" and ed norton is the "good guy" while in the book its not as black and white, and the narrator comes off as a lot worse than he does in the movie.

well yea that type of subtlety can be conveyed in a novel

but if it was in the movie, the impact of the reveal of ed norton and brad pitt being one and the same would have been considerably lessened - and truth be told that is almost an iconic scene

well the best part about the book is that they say right from the beginning and throughout the whole book that they are the same (i know this because tyler knows this).

Like I said, she's no Lana Del Rey to look at, but her vocals on that song are pretty amazing.
