How about lose vs loose? You would think sports fans would know the difference...
Who cares about spelling and grammar online? As long as you get the point that's all that matters.

I only brought it up because there was a discussion about common mistakes. Just because I notice them doesn't mean I care enough to point them out during regular conversation like I'm the grammar police. I'll crack a joke when someone starts shouting insults with errors though... "your stupid" and "your a looser" are classics. I do think it's pretty damn sad that so many college grads can't get basic words down... says a lot about our education system.

Myck Kabongo was just released by SA, I'd rather have him at the end of our bench than Price.

Did you forget why we(the magic) wanted price? lol

I'd take Lamb over Myck any day anyways. Price is there to teach the younger guys and be a locker room presence.

Yeah it doesn't matter who it is, Price or Mych, neither of them will play at all unless there are a lot of injuries. So might as well have the veteran presence to help teach the young guys. Not every guy on the team needs to be young, nor should they be. Price's leadership could become even more important too if the Magic do end up shipping away some of the older guys at the trade deadline.

I can't wait to watch the game tomorrow night. I didn't really get a chance to see the one on Friday.

This^^^

Moe said it a few times specifically and it deff had me thinking better of JJ. I really really wish we would've dealt AA instead of JJ. Not sure we'd of still been able to add Harris but I'd have thrown any someone else to help keep JJ.

J.J. was likely to walk even if we hadn't dealt him to the Bucks.

I do think he was a good player and an even better person though. I hope he can do some damage in L.A. and get his ring.

I think it's a matter of the situation. If someone makes a mistake while writing in an informal setting like RealGM, then that really isn't a big deal and should not be pointed out. On the other hand, if they use horrible shorthand (wut, u ect), type in all caps or make the same mistake over and over again, I think it's okay to (in a non-dickish way) point it out.

For example, I would say that people use "dieing" more than they use the proper spelling "dying". Most of the time the people don't even realize it's wrong, so if told nicely they actually can correct their spelling for future and potentially avoid using it incorrectly in a less informal setting. That being said, no one likes being corrected.

Looks like DeQuan Jones got waived by the Kings according to the wiretap. It sucks that he didn't make the team, I hope he does well in the D-League or Europe though and gets another shot in the league again someday. He seemed like a nice guy and even though he wasn't very good, I still enjoyed having him on the team last year.

Very well played, and I am yet another victim of auto correct! I'm really getting tired of its shirt! :-D

He must have shown something at some point but I never got it, he even looked out of control when he dunked. Only surprise here is that he ever got a chance at all. He got wayyyy too much mention around here.

Dequan had potential, we gambled on him and it didn't pan out. I'm glad he got the chance to show what he can do. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough. Maybe he works on his game and gets another. Hopefully he can prove something to somebody.

Jones could still have an NBA career, but he definitely needs to get more skilled. Europe would be great for him, but he'll probably go the d league route so being called up at some point is possible.

The fundamentals are his problem. He just hasn't been able to develop a consistent jumper or ability to attack the basket or be a defensive stopper.

He was an unimpressive bench player in college who went undrafted. I don't think we gambled on him... I think we brought him in to help us lose.

If DeQuan could develop his dribbling skills, he could be a damn good roleplayer in this league.

Not only his dribbling, but also his decision making and finishing at the rim when it isn't a dunk.

True. I agree with you. But all I'm saying is we gave him an opportunity to see what he had in him and it didn't seem he had enough in him to be a successful role player in this league... At least not yet. Because who knows, maybe he can develop his game overseas, or, in the D League... We'll see.
