25 Most Underrated Players in th World

Post#1 » by J-Mezzy » Wed Oct 16, 2013 1:06 pm

Here is the list from Bleacherreport.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1809 ... -right-now

Glad to see Cuadrado in there. He is the very definition of underrated. Any thoughts on the list? Some of the names there are pretty rated so I don't know why they are on the list.

I don't know about Yaya Toure, Busquets, or Paulinho. All are highly rated, people hate Busquets for obvious reasons, but most acknowledge he's a fantastic player, much like Pepe.

Glad to see Arteta on there, him and the BFG were the two Arsenal players I thought of for this list. Giroud's on there as well, and I guess he belongs, he does seem to get more plaudits this year than previous, partly cause he's scoring more goals I'm sure.

Zabaleta, and Ramires, certainly belong as well. Borja Valero would have been one I'd mention so I'm glad to see him on there. Constantly impresses me when I see him for Fiorentina. Benat, too.

Yeah Arteta, Giroud, Zabaleta, and Ramires were all good choices there.

Schwarzer was an odd one. Yes a good keeper, but was never in the upper echelon of the EPL. If he ever moved to any team in Europe, he would've had to have been a back up

Don't really think Di Maria is underrated, undervalued yes but not underrated. Same goes for Busquets, Paulinho and Inler.

Yaya Toure shouldn't be anywhere on this list, I think everybody knows apart from perhaps Kompany, he's City's most important player

Zabaleta, Reither, Arteta, Osman, Giroud, Ramires are all really good choices, so is Benat, Valero and Pjanic

Why on earth is Mark Schwarzer on this list? Because he saves so many shots in Chelsea's training games?
He is a good keeper but seriously how can you include a player that doesn't even regularly play?

Cristiano Ronaldo on an all-time scale *runs*

For Chelsea, it's probably Cech and Terry now that Luiz is starting to get some love.

Osman is a great choice. Arbeloa is just not very good.

It's definitely Cech, he's been the best keeper in the world the last 2-3 seasons and yet he still gets no love and people still say he hasn't been the same since that Reading game

But JT has been brilliant for us this season and is deserving of a mention. People are starting to appreciate Luiz, but that's until his next mistake then he's back down to garbage according to some "pundits"

Not a big fan of lists like this.

I hardly believe any EPL player who regularly starts can be considered underrated. They have the whole world watching each game they play.

Saying Yaya Toure is underrated is like saying Pau Gasol is. Yeah, he may not get all the praise in the world, but at the end of the day everyone knows he's a damn good player.

I doubt the whole world watches the likes of Reither and Osman every week, but I do agree with you

I found Everton fans don't even like Osman, and it's been that way for more than a year now. If there are Englishmen who I feel get too much criticism though, they are Gareth Barry and James Milner. They were/are made scapegoats too often for every City shortcoming.

Really? Most Everton fans I come across love Osman, he's professional and a pretty decent footballer too. He's considered a fan favourite along the lines of Tony Hibbert

They definitely like him as a professional, but he's been on a bad form for a while now and I think they would rather see youngsters given a chance with Osman being 32 and all.

At this point, I don't think he's good/bad enough to be considered significantly overrated/underrated. He's an average player and I think most people think that.

João Moutinho should be top 3 on this list.

He is sooo underrated...should be a star in any team, probably with the exception of Barcelona, because they already have Xavi, Iniesta and Fabregas.

mertesaker is arsenals most underrated player , him and koscielny haven't lost at all since january 2012 starting together and playing the full 90 IIRC. Too many fans think he isn't good or don't give him the credit he deserves when he's pretty damn good.

Yeah can't believe Moutinho missed this list too.

Here is the list of top 20 players not playing in Europe:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1813 ... -right-now

Balanta will be in Europe soon. Names in there like Dempsey, Fred, Paolo Guerrero, Gago. Ecuadorian Montero is pretty damn good, surprised he hasn't been successful in Europe.

Feel bad for him, he's underrated, under appreciated and under valued
