What are the odds that Indy lets Granger walk as a free agent? Should they just move him by the deadline to be on the safe side. I would love to see him stay and grow with Paul and become a lethal one 2 punch kinda like Reggie and Jalen back in the day.

Only way Granger stays is if he's healthy and takes a huge pay cut

It's darned near impossible for us to trade him as we need his expiring contract to help clear the cap room to fit in George's new extension, and possibly re-sign Lance. If we trade him, and take back anywhere up to $6m in salary that doesn't expire this year, we are also effectively letting Lance walk in free agency AND making so we can't trade Lance either.
So, we only trade Danny by the deadline (but only for other expirings) if he's hurt, but at that point, who's making that deal for is and giving us useful expiring contracts for a hurt expiring contract?
Ultimately, I think the situation demands that we play out the season with Danny and see where it goes. We then let him and Lance enter free agency. If we can't keep Lance with the $6-ish million in room under the tax, then we offer it to Danny. Otherwise, we let him walk.
