Dwight Howard explains in detail his reasons for leaving Lakers to join Rockets

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/ ... n-rockets/

“A lot of people say, ‘Well, if you would’ve waited a couple years, then this could’ve been yours (with the Lakers),’ And I’m like, ‘In a couple years, I’m 30,’” Howard said. “I don’t want to wait. I’ve been in the league 10 years. I don’t want to wait for things to happen. I want to be aggressive, to make things happen. And I’m looking at all these young guys who are just ready, and they’re missing one piece. And I’m like, ‘I could be that piece, and I don’t want to miss my chance.

“James Harden doesn’t come by every 10 years. It doesn’t happen. It’s no knock on other players who I played with, but you’re talking about all these guys who are young and are going this way, going up, so I’m like, ‘Man, this is a great spot for me. A great town, great organization.’ They’re going this way (points up).”

“Other teams have more history, but yesterday’s scores don’t win today’s games,” he said. “You’ve got to look at the now. What’s in the now? What can we do now? Nobody cared about what I did eight years ago, they want to know what I can do now, and it’s the perfect team for me.”

Just saw the interview with Dwight on CSN about Kareem recently criticizing him.....Dwight was just confused why KAJ would even bother paying attention to a young guy like himself... he said something where kareem played so long ago and did Airplane, fought with Bruce Lee, won 4-5 titles years ago and Dwight didn't really follow being way before his time and why KAJ would bother to waste time talking about Dwight like that. Also , after it was over, the interviewer mentioned to the host that Kareem only met with Dwight once and when they did meet, Kareem didn't want to talk about basketball

Kareem has always struck me as being an egomaniac.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

That's why Kareem's only son trashed him not too long ago. Kareem is completely self-serving.

He's got three sons. Kareem Jr, Amir, and the aforementioned Adam that trashed him on reddit.

To be fair though, Junior came off looking just as self serving, if not more. It just seemed like a weird attention grab.

Get ready for a great year of Rockets basketball. two top ten players in the league on one team and a great supporting cast could lead to a Championship.

I thought he came off more as a hurt kid lashing out at his father for not being there. He seemed very upfront about some of his issues as well.

Didn't know they deleted all the revealing answers. He talked about watching his Kareem smoke pot. He talked about Kareem treating people terribly and how he suffered from depression b/c of his dad. He answered almost every question that was asked.

I can safely say I like what I've seen from Howard so far and it seems like he's fitting into the team nicely.

Ready for the real thing..

Return to Houston Rockets
