The Texas Rangers have named Tim Bogar as their bench coach, replacing Jackie Moore, whose contract was not renewed.
Bogar, 46, was a big league coach with the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays over a five-year span.
He comes to Texas after spending 2013 as the manager of the Los Angeles Angels' Double-A affiliate in Arkansas.
