This is also telling:

Which player forces opposing coaches to make the most adjustments?

1. LeBron James, Miami -- 66.7%

2. Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City -- 13.3%

3. Chris Paul, L.A. Clippers -- 10.0%

Also receiving votes: Stephen Curry, Golden State; Tony Parker, San Antonio; Derrick Rose, Chicago

Last year: LeBron James -- 50.0%

We have a player who won the scoring title and not one GM mentioned him. This can only mean he's seen as predictable.

What was the most underrated player acquisition?

1. Jrue Holiday, New Orleans; Andrei Kirilenko, Brooklyn; Luis Scola, Indiana -- 10.0%

4. Jared Dudley, L.A. Clippers; J.J. Redick, L.A. Clippers -- 8.3%

6. Mike Dunleavy, Chicago; Andre Iguodala, Golden State; Paul Millsap, Atlanta; Josh Smith, Detroit -- 6.7%

Also receiving votes: Steven Adams, Oklahoma City; Marco Belinelli, San Antonio; Eric Bledsoe, Phoenix; Earl Clark, Cleveland; Jarrett Jack, Cleveland; Al Jefferson, Charlotte; Mike Miller, Memphis; Paul Pierce, Brooklyn

Last year: Andre Iguodala -- 16.7%

I see Scola in 1st place (this was a hot topic in the summer) and no mention of either Udrih or Bargnani.

What do General Managers know anyways!

As far as I'm concerned, they all work for ESPN!

The playoffs.

When it's all said and done, its about the playoffs. 2nd round and out doesn't mean anything.

That's true and I agree. But then why does a team like the Nets get so much credit when they were supposed to be better than us last year and failed to advance a round last season?

Their roster appears to fit better and by better I mean, they got the vet toughness and skill to play and win during the playoffs.

Last season they got embrassed by the Bulls but lets face, many of us did not want to matchup against the Bulls for that very reason. It could of been us who lost to the Bulls, people dont look at it that way.

And the Nets have added playoff winners. They got an inside game and outside shooting. Their roster looks good and they've played good in the preseason.

That just sounds more like an excuse to me. So basically the explanation is, we are "punished" for winning more games just to avoid the Bulls? How about the Nets should of won more games (since everyone expected them to) so they could of gotten a more favorable match up instead?

I know the Bulls dominated us last year but we won more games and because of that, faced a team we would likely beat. It's like with Miami and Milwaukee. That's why the best seeds face the worst seeds. The Nets should of been killed by the media for failing to meet expectations and they should of been killed for choking in the playoffs because even then, they had opportunities to win.

I simply don't like when people are only looking at things one way. Because the Knicks failed to advance past the second round, they are failures. While teams who haven't proven squat get the benefit of the doubt.

Doesn't underrated imply they weren't thought much of in the first place?

The Nets got embarrassed, no way around that. That’s a fact.

I’m not here to defend the Nets but what it comes down to regarding them is, they shipped out Wallace, Hump and others and upgraded with players that would/could help them win (not in the regular season) in the playoffs.

I think the media sees the changes they made and how the pieces fit and so far during the preseason, everything looks to be on track regarding them.

But again, this was poll done for GMs and their assessments mean a little more than the general media.

I do find it a little funny how much of a sure thing the Nets are perceived as. That team has the potential but they also have a ton of question marks from coaching, health, fit, and personnel. The Knicks FWIW are more or less the same team.

The Nets could be this year's Lakers...

I think the Nets will have issues reg season. I'd be very surprised if they have a very dominant reg season. I predict a high 40's low 50's win total. Too many older players and a 1st year coach combined with okay depth at best. Don't see it. They are however a dangerous playoff team if they are peaking late and their players are healthy.

You know what this tells me?

Melo is unstoppable, everybody knows what he does. No matter what they do, he does it anyways or he just choses another way of his deadly reportoir..

Thats the ultimate respect. Try to stop every other person on the team because we cant do anything about carmelo. Perspective bro :D

Knicks were easily one of the most fun teams to watch last season. Being unbiased. There were easily at least 5 to 6 games that were instant classics. That was a poll open to public?
