But his pace is working well for the offense. He is the one that slowed things down.

I thought I was the only one on this board who appreciates that part of Maynor's game. :D

Al Harrington will be in the running for 6th man of the year. He's a huge spark off the bench.

Until John Wall starts routinely outplaying _______ he won't be a superstar

My "hate on Wall" for this game answer: Kyrie Irving

Seriously, I just want Wall to manage the game well and to defend intensely. If he keeps turnovers down, pushes the pace, doesn't force garbage/quick shots, and terrorizes the passing lanes on defense; I can accept that John Wall's forte is never going to be shooting. His shot will come and go, most likely. When he's hitting and at the top of his game, then he approaches superstar level.

I haven't seen any indication he can maintain that top level so far.

so what do you guys think of this Silas guy? Every time I've seen him in preseason hes been draining threes. Might be worth cutting Singleton for him. Make it happen Ted!

Temple always plays within himself. Nate is right. He's the perfect 4th-5th guard type.

I like Temple he does the right things and does not make dumb mistakes. He also does not force things.

One of those is cause for concern. Ves has shown me enough to say he can be serviceable many games but very overmatched in the post others.

Washington hasn't used Vesely as a de facto Jared Jeffries-type SF yet. If they would it might be surprisingly effective.

We end preseason with a W, now all that's left is the Option pickup countdown and the real games begin!!!

I love how the announcers have been pushing the fact they had to put backups in when the run started when both teams had starters in. We went to our bench at the same time.

EG's gonna say "Trick or Treat" regarding Vesely the night before Halloween.

How about that game for Ariza, 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals.

He has a bit of an ego at times. He needs to understand his playmaking and slashing ability is his most vital aspect for us. He doesn't need to settle like he has been. His shot selection was rediculously better the last two months of last season. While I don't expect that level of play, I do expect something inbetween from when he initially came back and his monstrous run. It looks like to me, he's overthinking a lot of things out there, or he is coasting. I don't believe he is actually this bad. Just infuriating cause there are other bright spots (Beal, nene not bursting up in flames, Seraphin not being a blackhole etc). I still like our chances long term, maybe I'm just being impatient and putting more emphasis then i should on preseason play.

If we didn't have GR JR, i'd say he looks solid. While I am happy we have GR JR, finding good competent shooters like silas make me wish we could have taken another big in the 2nd round.

All in all, everyone but Wall played above expectations. Our defense needs that type of intensity throughout a game. You can't bank on Al Harrington just going HAM.

I do think Seraphin+AL could be a good combo. Just need Martel heal up and hopefully the team can start playing hard for a full 48.

Yep, time for him to start playing hard now. It may not be an ideal situation, but we're going to have to rely on Ariza and Harrington to score on that second unit.
