who cares, if you've watched dwight this preseason, it's basically fact now that he'll never be the same player he was in orlando. Lakers dodged a bullet by not having to commit long term to him.

Nobody said we didn't dodge a bullet. But even you have to admit the Nash and Dwight experiments and expectations was a complete failure. But in the case of Nash its gonna hurt us for years because of all the assets we gave up to get the guy

He looks great to me. His offense is still the same it was but defensively he's still the best single man game changer out there.

Sanders is the next best thing but Dwight is still a level higher over everyone else imo.

Trade 1: Deal hill, blake, meeks for marion. He will be perfect for our 4
trade 2: Nash and ryan kelly for Lowry and Aaron Gray.... if not... nash and kelly for ariza
lowry and marion on our squad would be sooo legit..... i can settle for ariza and marion too.

Marion is washed up.....
Ariza sucks, enough of the old 2009 playoff run.

Ummm Marion is still a really good on ball defender, can still run the floor and has length. He isnt as good as he once was but by all means he's not washed up

Why trade Nash? I say start farmar & slow nashs. Minutes drown dramatically. Hi IQ speaks for itself. I'm not a fan of Kaman myself though if paus injured his a fit also hope he comes off the bench. Keep pau having a big with his passing skills surrounded by shooters would be a plain stupid move I think.. Get rid of Blake his been fustrating the **** out of me in pre-season, the offence slows down and the flow goes.. Watching him and Nash start is killing me!!

I don't see a trade coming. if there is anyone of value in the roster right now for other teams to be interested (considering financial commitments) they only have... NO ONE.
either the players are bad, too old to play at a high level, or will be off the books next year. we'll be riding this team until next year.

Trading nash means financial flexibility in the off season

I really don't see Nash playing past this season. He'll retire after this.

I would think that Slava.. But lets not forget Nash is still going through that divorce situation which will probably be costly for him. And he still has that young FINE AZZ girlfriend he's with now, so I'm pretty sure she's keeping him active in life

We don't need any more financial flexibility this off season... And the chances that we could trade Nash and not take back salary, probably a lot of salary, are very slim.
If we need more flexibility we can use the stretch provision on his contract, but I don't think that's the plan.
Plus, Nash is going to help us land Wiggins...

Never have rice at Hanzo's house...

Nash can always become d'antoni's assistant or may be do a Jason Kidd and become head coach immediately.

I agree with others in starting Farmar. A few reasons:
1. He's playing better (although I think this is least important).
2. He's a better fit with Gasol as a more shoot first explosive pg. Gasol is the passer/facilitator and having Nash with Gasol has not worked since day one. Gasol is not a screen roll player. You run the offense through Gasol and some Farmar in 1/2 court and use Young when needed to get a shot (until Kobe is back).
3. Farmar is young and have him do the work of guarding these young start point guards.
4. Nash fits better with the bench and with a more spread floor.
Here is the lineups I would like to see:
Farmar
Meeks or Blake (I prefer Meeks and Blake not playing but I think one of these two should be out of rotation barring injury).
Gasol
Hill
Young
You have a more traditional lineup that can play a bit more defense, rebound, but has some athletes too.
Bench:
Nash
Henry
Kaman
Williams
Johnson
I wouldn't mind seeing Hill also get the backup minutes but Kaman was brought in to play and he can work here also...although I would prefer the more athletic lineup with Hill.
With this unit Nash can run pick and roll with Kaman...unlike with Gasol who cannot roll. But Hill is the best roller off the pick. Nash is terrible when there is no room for him to work...as his body can't handle the banging but I did notice when the court opened up he really started to make plays in the Utah game (no Gasol/Kaman together).
You have shooting, spacing, and athleticism here around Nash. And enough size and rebounding. Both the starters and bench should be good units potentially.
Then when Kobe comes back you move Young to the bench. This most likely means Henry not playing. Then the team gets much stronger.
I hope the coaching staff doesn't stick with Gasol/Kaman and Nash as starters. It makes no sense.
