That Steven Adams guy is up to...things, again.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Adams looks excellent. 10/7 in 24 minutes along with some stellar defense.

+1

As hyped as I've been about Olynyk, the Brazilian Celtic rookie big man really impressed last night against the Nets!

Who is that guy and how is it I've never heard of him before now? He can really ball. My team the Wizards could really use him in their front court.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Adams with another good showing . He's earned 20-25 minutes a night during the regular season imo

Pretty stupid to consider a redraft this early. You probably would have dropped LeBron out of the top 10 after his first preseason.

already earned a starting spot imo, not that he's fully ready but,.. perkins is so bad that he is unwatchable, and you cant say "its only preseason" bcuz he looks this bad all the time..that lob pass out of bounds on the fastbreak last night would make me cut him on the spot...Adams already surpassed him finishing around the basket and his court awareness is great for a rook...hopefully another draft gem for OKC

This guy plays better than McLemore.

Way too soon for a redrafting conversation. Wait until at least mid-December to even consider this.

Thorpe's Insider rookie watch is up - with its usual caution that things will look wildly different at the end of the season than during the first couple months. TMI to try to recap it here.

Who has star potential from this class?

Oladipo and Bennett both are potential stars, and McLemore has star talent, too. Burke has always outpaced the expectations "experts" put on him, but that may be a tough thing to accomplish this season with his injury. Carter-Williams has a unique blend of size and craft, and if he can learn to play despite being in a losing environment, it bodes very well for his future.

The two dark horses are point guards Calathes and Schroder. Calathes was once ranked No. 6 overall by former ESPN stats guru John Hollinger's Draft Rater, and at 6-foot-5 with some defensive talent he can play behind or next to Mike Conley in Memphis. He's the best passer in this class, and one of the best to enter the NBA in years.

Schroder is ultra-quick, long and very crafty, and he has a calmness to his game that reminds me of Lillard (though he's not the scorer Lillard is). Both Calathes and Schroder play behind very good NBA players, so they likely won't emerge as early as some of the other rookies will, but rest assured, each guy will be followed closely by opposing GMs in need of a starting lead guard.

Of course there is Giannis, too, who may have more upside than anyone in this class.

Annoyingly, from a Pistons fan's perspective, Thorpe doesn't mention KCP in this article - and in his 2nd round steal portion doesn't mention anyone in particular (like Mitchell) but just that it'll be fascinating to see which 2nd rounders emerge.

My prediction is that KCP's going to gain major respect as this season goes along, and will become a better player than McLemore in time. I am on record as saying I don't like McLemore's overall game - although he's a beautiful looking shooter. He has the worst handle I've ever seen on a guard, and has lousy agility - suggesting to me that he's incredibly unversatile on offense, and he'll get beaten to a lot of spots as a defender. I also don't like the early indications I've seen about his competitiveness being subpar. KCP's a way more agile and slightly faster athlete , and has a way better overall game and competitive level.

McLemore will get thrown into the PT rotation way sooner, but KCP will be the better player. Pistons fans are hoping he's a starter sooner rather than later, but I think it's going to be later as Cheeks goes with Stuckey and Billups more at SG to go with a young team that's new to each other and has playoff aspirations.

Lol, I saw that as well and it was terrible. Who the hell was he trying to lob it to? Jeremy Lamb?

Adams is the best center in this class.

It's a little early for that...although I will say he's performed far better than I expected he would at this stage.

When the Thunder drafted Adams, I was pissed, thought he was going to be the second coming of Cole Aldrich or any other center the franchise has had since basically forever.

But I'm starting to get a real funny feeling about this kid....

I think he'll be getting minutes off the bat, even with the notoriously stubborn Brooks.

Looks like Royce White won't log his first NBA regular season as a Sixer.

Cody Zeller knows how to get to the free throw line. That really helps a player achieve stardom..

What's so different about Adams is that he has very fast twitch muscles for a big man.

That block on Gibson sums it all up. His first and second jump are very quick and this allows him to get a ton of offensive boards, not to mention it'll help him get a ton of blocks. If Brooks gives him the proper minutes then I really think he can be averaging 2bpg right from the get go. At least 1.5bpg.

He needs to work on that god awful jumpshot of his though.
