Welp, outside of that one quarter where he was guarded by AAA defender Andrew Nicholson, Bennett had a miserable pre-season and pretty much corroborated many of the issues people had with him in college.

If Adams doesn't play at least 20 mins right off the bat, it'd be a travesty.

I think at least whilst Westbrook is out OKC will have to trust their young guys more. Guys like Jackson/Lamb will get the opportunity to have break-out seasons and Brooks has another chance to stop his infatuation with Perkins.

I agree, but i have no faith in Scott Brooks.
Adams has been super impressive in the preseason.

Adams has been super impressive in the preseason.
I see Perkins still getting most of the minutes at center, damn what a shame OKC has turned out to be. I had hopes they would be the team to derail Miami's dynasty.

I'm not even a Thunder fun and it's already making me so mad that Adams isn't going to get the minutes he deserves. This guy's going to have a huge impact for them.
Greatest what ifs in NBA history:
- Len Bias hadn't overdosed
- T-Mac stayed in Toronto
- The Blazers picked Jordan
- Magic didn't contract HIV
- Brooks didn't start Perkins

Re: Rookie impressions thread: PRESEASON
I more or less saw what I expected out of Bennett. Young athletic guy who is an above average rebounder and also has the talent to score from just about anywhere on the floor. Is he in good shape right now? Nope. Will that change as the season goes on? Every indicator I have seen says yes. Once he gets into game shape, it will be a lot more clear why Cleveland took him #1 overall.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Cody Zeller is going to be a stud.

KCP with a very nice game. I like him a lot long term! Plays both ends well and hustles like hell every game.

Rudy Gobert looking like a terrific pick by the Jazz. Considering how little they gave up for him, it was an awesome gamble!

MY GOD THIS RUDY GOBERT! I thought this man was supposed to be a 3-4 year project? If we re-did the draft today, I think Gobert goes in the top 5.

Very impressed with this game. I think once KCP finds his shot he will be a very productive player for us and one of the better picks of this draft. He has already shown to be a very good rebounder and defender and he's excellent in transition.

Re: Rookie impressions thread: PRESEASON
Gobert went for 16 pts (8-10), 8 rbds, and 3 blcks in 24 minutes.
His progress is easing the pain of losing Trey Burke so early.

Re: Rookie impressions thread: PRESEASON
Gobert is definitely quicker and more engaged than people thought before the draft. Jerry Sloan apparently saw a workout with him and Dieng over the summer and recommended him. It seems like Gobert can get from above the foul line to a dunk at the rim in two steps.
