Shannon Brown to the Lakers?

Post#1 » by Tiesto_Lakers » Sat Oct 26, 2013 3:30 pm

Many sources on Twitter are reporting that he'll be heading to the Lakers after being waived by the Wizards.

Don't we have enough SGs? I guess this puts Meeks and Henry deep in the depth chart.

Shannon Brown is coming back... Lakers will need to waive another player for a roster spot... Has to be between Harris, Kelly or Henry... I assume Harris is out...

If Shannon is back it has to be Henry who is cut

No way you keep

Nash
Farmar
Blake
Kobe
Meeks
Young
Henry

and add Brown

That's 8 guards, not even counting Johnson...even if you play them at SF there's still too many

We have 3 bigs who are all injury prone .....wait and see Johnson and Williams play C during a stretch of the season when a big is out if we keep piling up them guards

at least have the decency to post one of these "many sources" if you're going to give us this type of scare.

I would only do it if we somehow traded Meeks but even then I wouldn't love it.

I would definitely do it. Henry has been playing SF I'm not sure what you guys are so worried about. He would replace Meeks or Blake in the rotation.

Henry has been moved down to SF, Johnson has been playing PF.

I see the rotation like this when Kobe is still out. When he comes back, we need to cut Meeks or Henry.

Nash/Farmar/Blake
Young/Brown/Meeks
Johnson/Henry

If we do sign Shannon, does this tell us more about Kobe's recovery or about the FO's complete lack of faith in Meeks?

The latter. Plus if I'm not mistaken they have the ability to trade cash again this year.

You can trade cash+Meeks to not pay luxury tax and then sign Shannon to the minimum.
