I liked Osby. He could make shots as a sf, something moe doesnt give us.

Moe isn't out there to score. He's out there to defend and make the open 3 with the occasional cut to the basket.

Besides, Osby would most likely never get to play SF. We have Moe and Tobias that would get more time there then he ever would.

We played Osby at sf during the preseason, and he was a better shooter than Moe.

Tobias was never really healthy during the preseason that's why Osby got time there. Plus Osby was barely going to get minutes anyway.

Most players on our team are better shooters than Moe, that's why he's not asked to be a scorer.

Using the excuse "he's not asked to score on our team" is the worst excuse for moe not being able to shoot I've ever heard. Even if he's not a scorer, you still have to be able to make open shots, obviously.

and his defense is pretty damn overrated on this board.

Not everyone is going to make open jumpers consistently. It's just not his game. He's an okay corner 3pt shooter, a good defender with potential to be a great one and a good cutter. He doesn't need to be able to shoot to be successful.

Yeah I was a bit surprised when I saw he didn't make it. But I trust Henny and his staff in talent evaluation so far....

I agree with pimp, and while 2nd rounders usually amount to nothing...and though I went to mount Dora hs...and while it may have been while he played there* as I recall all of our sports teams blew hard*...I felt osby did the best with his time during preseason. Seriously that last half was ugly. It looked like a pickup game. I hope that our selection wasn't the guy who fumbled the ball nearly every posession. Though he won't amount to much, even on a rebuilding team like ours...

If we were trying I would have selected gladness for his rim protection. If we selected on overall performance, I would have picked osby. If we select on geographical location...I'd pick what Ron picked.

Fun story..I had dinner with my father and he asked who the Russian sharpshooter we used to have on the team that when we needed points we would hand the ball to. I said " Vuc?" He said who?

After much investigation...it came out turkogku. I never liked the guy. Even when I wasn't much of a fan. He failed so hard in my eyes. Especially when it counted.

So why the duke can't we get rid of him? Are we really asking for much? The guy is worthless. Last positive I saw was last preseason.

I still trust in maestro Hennigan. He has orchestrated our tank beautifully and who am I to question it at this point. I dunno WTF we will do.

IMHO we should just cut him, but I'm worth hundreds not billions.

But Turk is hindering our progress. To the most degree possible.

Can you think of a starting wing player on a contender who can't hit an open shot?

Harkless isn't anywhere near Sefalosha's or Tony Aleen's level. He needs to be coming off the bench until he can prove to everyone that he can consistently make wide open shots.

He and his agent was. They wanted more playing time at center and new they would have to leave for it to happen.

Here we go again with the bashing of our young players just because they aren't putting up big numbers.
