Holy crap are the packers well managed financially. Not one bad contract (now that Hawk is playing so well). We also still have huge flexibility, we can clear 11 mil off the cap without having to do any contract restructuring. Just cut Tramon, Brad Jones, and Jarret Bush. Personally I wouldn't miss any of three guys even a little (ETA: not that I don't think tramon is a good player, it's just that I dont think hes worth what we're paying him and more importantly we have 4 other starting caliber corners on the roster -fap fap fap-). I'm in awe of TT and Russ Ball.

Cut Bulaga? Are you mad? He's still on his rookie contract for another season!!

We've had issues having tackles and we better keep ones that are damned good. Bulaga at RT is an instant upgrade over Barclay. Bakhtiari is locked into his rookie deal for another 3 seasons. Sherrod has a couple years left on his rookie deal too.

After next season both Jordy and Cobb will be a free agent. I think it's a lock that Cobb will be paid before it gets that far, but Jordy will be very costly also if Ted wanted to keep him. Plus, after the absolute steal the team got on Jordy with his last contract, he likely won't be in the mood to take another discount.

Yep.

I can't say I was disappointed in our draft, but I was kind of surprised we didn't take a WR in the 3rd-4th (or even the 5th). I figured TT would be looking to draft a guy who could provide depth this year who would also be looking to take on a bigger role next season. I was higher on Boykin than some thinking he had solid #2 type potential, but I still thought we'd look to bring in another weapon.

It will be interesting to see how things play out at WR over the next few years.

Beyond that, it has been disappointing that we haven't been able to develop a TE who is worth anything as a receiver other than Finley. Q did get hurt, but he was already relegated to being a blocking TE before that. Bostick and Stoneburner have potential in that role, but it is nothing but potential at this point.

Jones isn't going to get cut.

As for Tramon, there is basically no way we keep him at that salary. He has played well in coverage this year, but his tackling can still be abysmal. I could see us possibly restructuring him and cutting his salary by quite a bit rather than releasing him outright. We also could release him with the intention of bringing him back at a reduced cost. I think he'd probably be able to get quite a bit more as a FA than we'd want to pay him, however. He turns 31 in March, so it certainly wouldn't be a bad time to tell him, thank you, but we are going with the young guys.

I was hoping we'd draft Keenan Allen. He was my favorite out of the WR class

Gordon isn't a free agent until 2016. Hell yes I'd spend a #2 on him.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

He's also one wrong move away from a 1 year suspension.

We really need to stop with the Josh Gordon stuff. You're really going to give up a 2 for 2 years of a guy who's one wrong move from being suspended for a year? And then PAY the guy the year after Cobb?

The Finley injury has made things interesting for next off-season - I still think we:

Swap Tramon's $$ out for Shields
Let Raji and Finley walk (maybe re-sign Finley if the price is right)
Re-sign basically everyone else

The main thing is, we're looking GREAT heading into the draft. We'll probably need an impact player at TE, but every other position on the roster we'll be drafting for depth / future impact, which is awesome.

Drafting #32 will be tough, but I'm confident in TT :)

MD, I disagree with you on this. Like others have said, he's one bad decision from a year suspension. Plus, I roll my dice with TT in the draft 24/7. This year's draft class was phenomenal. And, I honestly think TT and his staff are really getting into a groove w/ the coaching staff after several years of figuring it out. I want to give our greatest strength - the draft and UDFA - the greatest investment. I don't want to see us take a gamble.

That being said, Gordon may be extremely special and I may be completely wrong. I just don't trust it.

With how well the Packers draft Wide Receivers I would use that pick on one.

Jordy, Cobb, James Jones, Greg Jennings, and Ted wanted Roddy White if not for Aaron.

Indeed. We tend to hit spot on with WR's in that 2-3 rd. range under TT. Let's not forget about Terrence Murphy either. He was a part of the Rodgers and Collins 1st and 2nd round. That was a truly impressive first day haul by TT in his first draft. And, again, it sheds light on talent we've lost along the way to unforeseen career-ending injuries to very very talented players.

Receivers will look better playing with Favre/Rodgers we can't forget that.

Yes, at the same time you don't want a revolving door. Rodgers has to keep one main stay at WR somehow for a period of time. He also needs to play more in preseason so he could have the timing down with his backups in games.

Cleveland is expected to field offers for wide receivers Greg Little and Josh Gordon along with tight end Jordan Cameron, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora. The Browns are looking to add draft picks as they rebuild their current 3-4 team. Cleveland has already acquired a first-round pick for former third-overall pick Trent Richardson.

Cameron is only signed through next season and he'll get a pretty massive bump in pay, but he'd be a nice replacement for Finley.
