I'm liking Hollins lately and would be fine seeing as our backup center. If griffin plays 30mpg the other 18 can be split between Mullens, Jamison, Barnes/ Dudley. I'm hoping we make a good signing, if not we need drastic improvement from within.

well, judging by their website's front page article, it doesn't look like the suns have any interest in buying out Okafor.

traditionally, we have always started every season with 14 men roster, but with doc in charge, i was hoping for a "15 strong" roster. i know diop was waived and he is a legit 7 footer under the basket. but i think doc maybe thinking to rely on small ball lineups.
ehhhhh f it.

okafor is a No

Emeka Okafor's herniated disk is "much more severe than initially anticipated," according to J. Michael of CSNWashington.com, and he "might be on the court again within three months."
Okafor's indefinite timetable to return was a key factor in the Wizards' decision to trade him along with a future first-round pick for Marcin Gortat and three other players whom Washington will waive. The Suns are more interested in developing Alex Len and Miles Plumlee than they are in seeing Okafor on the court, and he shouldn't be drafted in any fantasy leagues.

Why would Griffin only play 30mpg? He should get at least 36.

Bill & Jalen's takes on trades and buyout

Post#9 » by Ranma » Sun Oct 27, 2013 5:03 am

Simmons predicts the widely-anticipated Crawford trade with Rose thinking Granger as a good return and fit in that scenario[11:49 time stamp]. BS even thinks an Okafor buyout may be a possibility for the Clips before his trade to Phoenix [12:55 time stamp]...then again he thinks Blake Griffin gets traded for Kevin Love if the season doesn't go well [18:10 time stamp]. DJ would go before Blake.

36 is more accurate, my apologies, but if everything goes to plan our stars can rest in the 4th due to our massive leads lol.

I am ok w/ only 14 on the Roster. I like the extra spot just in case of an injury or if Management feels like they need another player in a certain position. Davies & Amundson can always come back on 10 day contracts and they are familiar w/ Doc's system.
As for Hollins, he had his best year in the Pros as a Celtic, under Doc; I think Doc just knows how to use Hollins to get the MAX production.

I would have rather kept Davies if we were going to waive Amundson. I guess we'll use the extra roster spot on someone down the road.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Yup. Simmons is one of the worst. He's a whiny little girl. Nobody is as bad as Simers though

Let me put it this way: although Simmons is a Celtic fan, he would much rather have the Lakers be the true team of L.A. than the Clippers.

Well, I'm about to ruin Bill's heart. Rumor has it the Lakers may trade for Rondo near the deadline.

i just read this and was about to post it.

i would love to pick up marcus back with our roster, but it is a major concern that he may not be healthy this season at all. but looks like his heart is still in houston.
ehhhhh f it.

The Clips still need a tough big to play some spot minutes against tough post players. Even though he is way past his prime, perhaps they should consider Kurt Thomas.
