VirTech had no business being ranked. best part of their resume is a 35-10 loss to Bama.

agreed. Mizzou is solid but not top 5 IMO. Better than Florida and Georgia but #5?
Auburn is way over rated. This is a team that was lucky to beat WSU at home.
Mizzou will lose this week and so will Texas Tech

i am still baffled that the BCS requires the computer rankings not use margin of victory. I understand they were trying not to encourage "style points" but it makes them much less accurate.

This is stupid, if they were included Baylor easily would've reached triple digits in all their games except for one and get a higher spot then they deserve.
If a team struggles in a win that's pollsters job to take into consideration.

El MyLittlePony wrote:bcs does not scrap margin of victory, that part of data is supplemented by two human polls and can not be determined by computers accurately regardless. no computer data will be able to tell how margin of victory was attained; 14 point win when opponent throws a pick 6 while attempting to tie the game is different than a 14 point win opponent reduces the deficit after you put in your second and third stringers, but both these wins would get same points from computers.
sure we'll see what baylor is but give them margin of victory as an advantage, unbeaten baylor team would be ranked ahead of unbeaten alabama despite playing weaker schedule and that's asinine.

The margin of victory is nice and all, but they've got 3 out of conference wins over Wofford, Buffalo, and Louisiana-Monroe to pair with 4 conference wins over teams with losing records. Until they beat an in-conference opponent with a winning record, I'm staying away from expecting something spectacular.
They're about to face a major step up in competition now and I think they could lose a couple of those games.
