The way I see it, Hayward will get just about the contract a young, comparable Luol Deng got. Maybe a little less, as Deng did it in the playoffs. That should translate roughly to 11-13 mil a year.

Deng had done a little more in his career when it came to getting his new deal but i don't think you're far off the mark.

Deng got a 5 yr / 71 million deal. 5 yr / 55 million sounds about right and puts it on the lower side of where you stated, which i think is the best result for all parties involved.

Hayward is around Batum's level. As a Trailblazer fan, I didn't think $11-12 million over the 4 year duration was an overpay for Batum (I wouldn't have wanted to pay much more though), I'm really happy we have him at that contract, so something around $11 million seems right.

You wouldn't want to go much more than that though, if you were the Jazz though.
