Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - 10/27/13
You know that moment in the match when something happens, and you automatically know how everything else is gonna go down. That main event match had that moment.
One example is during a tag team match when the faces get a leg up, and one heel knocks out the non-legal face, and then the legal face is about to hit the finisher on the legal heel. This is often enough to let you know that the heels will win via heelish stunts.
When Michaels got knocked out, I just could not envision any scenario that would lead to Bryan ultimately winning.

It's a Big 4, no matter how boring it's gotten. It's older than SummerSlam and Royal Rumble.
They certainly don't treat it as such.
Yea didn't Vince drop it only a few years ago ? It was always my favourite ppv outside of mania.

I think he planned to, but didn't. I'm gonna guess it was a nostalgia factor for him as it was the PPV that he pitted against Jim Crockett and Starrcade.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - 10/27/13
The good news is the next Survivor Series we're gonna have (there is one, right?) has a lot of potential to have a meaningful 5 vs 5 elimination match.
They can even have two if they want to do a Punk vs Heyman storyline, but maybe that storyline has been dragged long enough.
Team Bryan vs Team HHH is an obvious scenario.
Bryan-Usos-Rhodes vs. Shield-Orton-Someone (HHH himself?)

Another lukewarm at best PPV with a disappointing finish.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - 10/27/13
The only reason that the WWE can continually ignore the fans and promote Orton over Bryan at this point is because they have no competition, no other real federation. Keeping the title off of Bryan , who is by far the most over individual in the WWE, for that 1st ppv can be called building a storyline, after the 2nd ppv where they basically took it off of him immediately was stupid and now a third ppv is pure idiocy. At some point the fans will no longer believe Bryan will ever be allowed to win the title and give up on the WWE because the WWE ignores what the fans want

I genuinely wonder now if this storyline is salvageable. That's not to say Bryan is somehow no longer salvageable, you get him away from this nonsense for a few months and get him in a solid storyline where he can accentuate his strengths and his flaws aren't constantly highlighted, he'll be back to where he was during Summerslam. But I genuinely don't know if there is a way to save this story.
If there is, I think you have to add something to make people believe Bryan has a chance to prevail. I'm thinking something like Bryan becoming a complete psychopath. Tomorrow night they say Bryan won't get a rematch and we have a number one contender's match between ADR and someone. And Bryan comes out and beats the holy hell out of those two guys and then HHH comes out and stars yelling at him and he beats the holy hell out of HHH. And he's going to keep doing this until he gets a rematch and then he's going to do this to Randy Orton.

If this was to somehow lead to Daniel Bryan vs HBK at mania i'm totally cool with it, but since the chances of that are none, I don't get the point.

I read HBK turning heel, but I guess it was more like that Big Show stuff they've been doing?

That's the only way to save this. Just giving Bryan another shot makes no sense. HHH needs to come out and say he got three straight PPV's to win the title and didn't. He's not the face and must start over. Bring in the next two guys.
DB then needs to go rogue and attack those guys, either during the match or before. If before, his claim is this number 1 contender match won't happen as long as I'm here. And if they fire him, he works with Show to go after everyone. DB also needs to start attacking the Shield and cost them matches.
Once again, WWE just kills the momentum. Reminds me of Punk walking out with the title and how they effed it up. Same situation.

That was pure crap last night that you could see coming from a mile away.
At this point they might as well go the TNA route, drop the storyline and just never mention any of this ever again.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - 10/27/13
I wouldn't mind seeing Hell in a Cell squeezed out of next years PPV schedule either. The only purpose it really served was Heyman getting beat down after his match had ended, and then that caused a delay because they had to get his body off from the top of the cage. He could've gotten beat with a Kendo stick in the middle of the ring and got the same reaction. Save Hell in a Cell matches for when the occasion calls for it and just retire this PPV.

More likely, we'll see Vince come back as a face and he'll rehire Big Show and he'll take up Bryan's cause. McMahon Civil War part 51 is how I think we end up getting Bryan finally beating Orton for the title.

Re: WWE Hell in a Cell - 10/27/13
I didn't see Raw yet. But this PPV started off great then quickly became disappointing.
Tag match was great, Goldust is in great shape and worked his ass off, as well as everyone else involved.
How the **** does Khali get a match when guys like Sandow (MITB **** winner) and Kofi are designated to the preshow and Ziggler can't even get a **** match at all. Summer Rae did look amazing though.
Miz blows as a face. Should've saved Kane's return for Raw.
Having DB lose yet again was lame. Only way to save this crap is DB facing HBK or HHH, or Vince getting involved somehow and making some kind of ruling in favor of DB getting a rematch. Cena & Orton as champs again, welcome back to 2005.
