I agree with everything both of you are saying and hope we can fix those glaring weaknesses. The only thing that we're consistently good at is starting pitching.

And they'll maybe have to do it without Price.

True. But we know Moore and Cobb can handle it, it's up to Archer and Helickson to back them up.

With only 4 teams left, I'm curious who you guys pick to get to the World Series and who you would like to see succeed/fail.

I have the Cardinals and the Red Sox in the World Series with the Cards winning it all. I would like to see St. Louis win it all, and I do not want to see the Tigers or the Red Sox win at all.

Boston and St Louis for me.

The Red Sox are just better in all phases except for the rotation

We both seem to be right with the Cards right now, but the Red Sox lost game 1. I expected a lot more runs for both series considering all the teams that are left are great offensive teams.

That's why great pitching almost always beats great hitting.

Good games yesterday.

I didn't watch game 2 between the Red Sox and the Tigers, but, I saw the highlights last night. It had to suck for Tigers fans to watch them blow a 4 run lead with one swing of Ortiz's bat.

I did watch the Cardinals game last night though. It was a good game all around for the Dodgers, and it was an all around bad game for the Cardinals. I don't expect that to happen again for the rest of this series.

The Cardinals are going to the World Series. That Wacha kid is unbelievable! Every time they've needed him to come up big he has.

The Cardinals are looking great heading into the Series too. Boston/Detroit better watch out.

I am excited for next year. I'd like to see an outfield of DeJesus/Jennings/Myers/Guyer, but I won't be surprised if DeJesus doesn't get paid. I would not mind Loney back at 1B if it is a reasonable price, or give Leslie Anderson a shot. Lobaton really improved this year. I think he'll go full time with Gimenez spelling him. I'd like to see Belnome called up for DH and infield utility. I'm not worried about losing Price at all. Great if we keep him. If not, get a top prospect in return. We could use a starter in the return as well though. Rotation could be Cobb/Moore/Archer/JD Martin/Hellickson. Martin was a beast in AAA this year. Tons of bullpen help in our system too. Yates, Wade, Lueke, Beliveau and Geltz all had strong seasons and could help replace what we lose. Torres was amazing, and I think Gomes will rebound next year really well. Rodney can walk.

I'll add Romero to the list/rotation too. Great AA season and clutch start for us in September if I remember correctly.

You and I picked correctly for the World Series, craig01. Now lets see who's right in picking the champs. You chose the Red Sox if I'm not mistaken, and I chose the Cards. I do not want to see another championship for Boston though. Lol.

Yeah, I picked boston (ugh), but they have been the most consistent and well rounded team all year.

The Cards might have an edge with their rotation, but the Sox get the edge almost everywhere else.

They really have had a great season. Ugh

Cards win game 2! Hopefully they can take care of business at home.

The city of Boston has been through a lot this year and they would definitely deserve to win the series if they do. Both because of the talent of the team and the resilience and strength of the fans and all Bostonians out there. It would be a nice story and something for them to be happy about.

With all that said though... I can't stand Boston fans! Lol.

Cards up 2-1.

I didn't watch this one but a friend of mine told me it was a good and funny ending. Keep it up Cardinals!

An obstruction call let the winning run score.

Very strange occurrence, but it was the correct call.

Series 2-2.

I hope the Cardinals don't roll over and lose these next two. I still like the Cards to win it all. Prove me right guys!
