Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves Part 3
RG3 is a different guy in a different situation with a different injury. By all accounts, he works crazy hard, is conscientious, took his rehab seriously and had first-class medical care and rehab specialists.
Arenas was hard working, but didn't take his rehab as seriously and didn't have first-class medical care and rehab specialists.
As a contrast -- it's fine. I was really objecting to hands' insinuation that Griffin is/was a drama queen or that he would refuse to listen to his coach.

And on top of that, he is one of the few players who might actually be worse than Vesely, and I have no idea what you see in Melo other than a 7 footer.
Honestly I just saw a 7 footer and 6 fouls cause we need frontcourt depth bad cause Ves sucks and I have the feeling Okafor is going to miss 3/4 of the year if not the entire season
Maybe the feeling is just gas.
As for Okafor, there is no update other then what we initially heard which is he was already feeling better when they found out what it was. That was reported Sep 18th.
Singleton ETA was 6-8 weeks. 6 weeks is Oct 30th to 8 weeks is nov 14th
Herniated disc are also supposed to take 6-8 weeks.
Interesting their new approach to things like Beal, Otto and Okafor. They never have a time table. Then you finally hear something after they participated in a practice. They rested AH for a game during the preseason just to rest him. We saw that he did the follow game. And Webster got to rest last game since he tweaked his ankle. They seem to be doing a much more patient job with injuries and minutes.

Lots of people liked him. I know I posted plenty about him, but we didn't have a pick in his range. Just a big boy strong body. Run the floor well and funny as all hell. He should be around a while. I'm definitely going to follow him. As I will with lots of player from this draft. It was nice draft class.
McLemore had some nice games in preseason. I actually had us taking him as a draft strategy option even though we would likely move him eventually. Beal and McLemore would have got along great.
I said go for the best value, even if that means moving the player because you are two deep. I still think Burke is going to be a player as well. Preached Gorgui Dieng and Witney a bunch. Loved VO. He will make it to the All Stars on day. Again, it was a deep draft class. You could get players all the way though the 2nd round. And there were still players like Seth Curry and Jackie Carmichael that went undrafted.
You could get good value out of this draft.
But I also said early and often, say no to Shabazz Muhammad. And I wasn't a Bennett fan. And I didn't like Noel in the top 3 and slotted him where he got picked.

You are the first person I ever heard say he wasn't.

The Morris twins got their options picked-up as did Brandon Knight, let's see what happens with Biyombo.

I know nothing about that. Can't comment based only on your two lines, obviously, but if it's true then someone else will get my empathy -- but I'd feel he needed treatment even more badly.

We have 15 guaranteed contracts. Ernie might waive Singleton before 10/31, but not to go back to 15 w/ a guy waived out of preseason.

pretty sure it is an alleged accusation, nothing proven yet...then again Ben Rotheilsburger is "innocent" too. I'm just less sympathetic to guys making millions and complaining about w/e condition it is that is afflicting them. Can't handle the pressure? You don't need NBA money or need to be in the NBA. One of Morey's few vulgar blunders...

Shelvin Mack and Cartier Martin made the Atlanta Hawks final roster. AJ Price made the Wolves roster as-well.

Hold that thought. We'll revisit at the end of the season. (Along with maybe Nate Wolters.)

Discussing Other Teams' Moves Part 3
The Pistons are interested in controlling their own D-League team. If DET with their tenuous economic circumstances, are interested in having their own D-League affiliate, u can be sure that the Wizards will be the last organization to get on-board.

You think Price will have fun playing against Maynor when Minny visits?
I was never a big A.J. Price fan and didn't think he was the right signing for us. But... he's better than Maynor!
Sometimes I wonder if there's any bottom at all to Grunfeld's barrel?

Our ownership situation could be a lot worse. Donald Sterling is such an embarrassment.

Apparently Avery Bradley and the Celtics are discussing an extension. I don't see anything in his stats that makes him look like a player who should tie up significant money.

He's an outstanding man defender. Real pest and absolutely a lockdown man defender. His TEAM defensive impact is more equivocal, but the kid flat out gets after it on defense.
That said, I wouldn't be in a rush to sign him to an extension. He rated about replacement level last season, and hasn't rated close to average in any of his three seasons. He did lose some time with a knee injury -- I think he tore his ACL.
Boston has made some puzzling moves for a team that's reputed to be so stat driven. That deal they gave Jeff Green was a real head-scratcher.

deneem4, ORL sure looks good early. Oladipo is going to make them MUCH better, it appears.
I loved Nicholson his draft. I think they have too many talented young guys in ORL to keep them all. Behind Vucevic both O'Quinn and IMO Nicholson are good. Harris is a beast, but Harkless will become really good. That team is full of young talent.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
