Xavier Henry has always had talent. Unfortunately for him, he landed in some bad situations as far as playing time with Memphis & New Orleans during his maturity period. Now at only 22 years old he is coming into his own & showing the potential that once made him a highly touted recruit coming out of high school and a lottery pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. I thought the Lakers was a good landing spot for him being that they were hamstrung for cap space and needed some youth with upside

I see Byron Mullens has already fell out of favor of Doc Rivers as frontcourt depth. I actually thought he would make it to 2014 before getting put in the doghouse or receiving DNP-CDs

Mullens is trash. We gave him every opportunity to prove that he's not a bust last year.

No we didn't. We didn't have any kind of system. We kind of let him do whatever he wanted to, which was bomb 3s all day. Mullens just needs to play disciplined, structured basketball and step number one is to not take 3s.

If you say so. Let's see how Mullens fair in Doc Rivers' 'system'

The difference in styles was so evident watching that back-to-back. You get the Eastern conference game where teams turned the ball over against traps and both teams evidently have a defensive system and then you watch the run and gun, no defense Western conference match-up. I had to laugh every time Swaggy P decided that it's a good idea to dribble between his legs a few times and launch up a contested 20-footer. Fun Lakers win to watch.

It's pretty funny - he actually has Swaggy P t-shirts. He's a bit of a character.

mullens is apparently incapable of playing disciplined, structured basketball. that should be evident by the fact that he was launching 12 3s per 36 mins in preseason under rivers on a team loaded with scorers. he has played for 4 coaches across 3 teams. its not the coaches that are the problem, its mullens.

I guess Doc Rivers is letting Byron Mullens do whatever he want to do on the Clippers too, huh? I agree with 'catch20two' that he had his best chance to show what he can do last year with the Bobcats and he made himself expendable with his lack of awareness on the court, offensively & especially defensively

Iverson officially retired today. Somewhat saddening for me. Absolutely adored the way he played.

Iverson was easily one of, if not my most favorite NBA player of all-time. It was almost like watch David & Goliath in a basketball form. I'm going to the game tonight against the Heat, in fact I'm about to head out soon. I hope the Sixers organization do a great job of enshrining & celebrating his retirement

I saw the new Buck, Brandon Knight, hobbling towards the locker room early...

I wasn't a big fan of Iverson. Took tons of shots and got away with murder in terms of dribbling violations. As fun to watch as anybody when he was on though.

MCW has 8 pts 7 assist and 5 steals in the first half thus far. That guy can't shoot, but hes going to fill every single aspect of a stat sheet.

34 minutes played with 1 shot attempt? Christ, I thought that was Biyombos from last seasons for a split second. Poor guy.
