Funny to me how the leaguewide reaction for the most part seems to be he didn't do much of anything wrong and that the media doesn't want him to succeed.
The only part I can see where Dez should be blamed is for the part at the end. If they were drawing up a play to go to him and he wad so disgusted with what happened on the drive where they gave up the TD that he couldn't focus on that he should have some blame (which is why Witten was yelling at him). I don't blame him for being pissed off, but there was still time on the clock and timeouts, you gotta keep your head in the game. (Not that Callahan knows wtf hes doing anyways so tbh it actually didn't matter) Theoretically you still have a chance if your Coordinator and Coach don't have their head up their ass.
Some key points though,
Dez is NOT T.O. (What Witten said about the incident and coming to his defense the way he did, he NEVER would have for T.O.)
The audio shows exactly what it was, Dez talking about the team, trying to win, it wasn't about him. He didn't say Get me the ball more (ala Keyshawn or T.O.), he said "if they're playing that defense WE can beat them". "WE'RE the best in the NFL at that"
Dez had every right to be pissed off and while as i said before he can be blamed for something here, hes way down the list of issues.
I'm sick of this **** excuse the team uses of saying he was double covered as to why he didn't get more targets. You mean double covered like how he was on both those touchdowns? You mean double covered like Megatron was a lot of the time and Stafford said **** it i'm throwing to him anyways because thats what you do with a top 5 WR? That kind of double covered? Will things go wrong on occasion with that method? Sure, but its better than ignoring the best weapon you have on your team, especially when you decide the better option is to handoff to a backup rookie RB against 8 and 9 man boxes. GTFO here with that ****.
Garrett needs to make up his mind, you either run the clock out or you go for the first, the way they went back and forth between those two on their final possessions was mind boggling. The Tyron hold probably cost them the game, but had you wasted the 2 minute warning or another Detroit timeout on the previous possession it wouldn't have come to that.
