Cavs vs Nets

What I hate most about the NBA is the incredible amount of bias the refs have.

Is that a Bynum sighting?

Remarkably, the Cavs are leading 27-26 after 1. Jarrett Jack is the only Cavs player that can be fouled, but he got fouled a lot it seems. LOL

Everyone other than Miles and Jack are shooting like crap. Varejao shouldn't take another shot outside the land. Last year he was making these but he's a bricklayer tonight.

It's crazy how deep we are.

Bynum probably wont play in the 2nd half, but once we get him back in the fold we will have a legitimate 12 guys to find minutes for.

Very excited about this YOUNG team.

You are right, and we have 3 more first rounders and several 2nd rounders in the next few years.

How is it that Reggie Evans gets a foul call but Kyrie can't?

Wow, what a crap foul call. First goes the Cavs way and when Lopez whines it's given to him.

Wow. What a balanced team win that was. Even on a night when Kyrie clearly didnt have his A game there were soo many others who stepped up and got the job down.

Big shout out to Tristan and Jack for coming up huge. 6 guys in double digits scoring wise, and Kyrie had the ball in the clutch. Really proud of Dion for sticking with his game and knocking down some big time shots.

I can really only think of two guys who looked poor tonight, and both of them are still working themselves into game shape (Zeller and Bennett).

Great to see Mike Brown's defense back and it's a good start to what should be an ongoing improving process. I think we are going to surprise A LOT of teams this year with our defense and depth.

Tristan Thompson going 3-4 on jumpers (only miss was a deep fadeaway as the shotclock was winding down) was just surreal to watch.

Tristan making the jumpers, but what's up with choking at the foul line late? I still don't understand why people are allowed to beat up Waiters going to the basket. He's going to get some blocked anyway, but man the physical play was ridiculous for him to not get any calls.

Bennett needs to get some shots to fall before he starts pressing more.

Rough night for Kyrie against a good team......and its a win.
This really is a new year.

Love that Bynum played (especially after my "zero chance" post earlier today on the general board).
I also loved what Coach decided to do with him and Zeller getting extremely limited minutes.

Nobody is any deeper than this team.

The crazy thing is that while yes it was a rough night for Kyrie, he still had 15 points 9 assists and 7 rebounds. :o

I dont usually like to complain about the refs (especially in a win) but did anyone else think the refs were terrible? That call on Thompson at the end was amazingly bad. We were getting hammered inside all night and no calls. Waiters still gets no respect.

I still kinda wish we didnt draft Bennett. Not because i dont like him or i dont think he can be good but because i love Tristan and somewhere down the track somethings got to give.

Anyway other than all that good first game and good to beat a good team. All it takes is one game and im back in love with Andy and on the dont ever trade him bandwagon. Thompson was great and the jack signing adds so much. Liked what a saw from Clark from the most part, good to have some size on the wings.

Good start.

Good game, guys. I'm here to eat crow, didn't think for a second Bynum would play in the opener, hopefully he stays healthy, really like the team the cavs assembled.

The refs were bad; but equally bad for both teams. the TT hip check call was terrible, but Early Clark probably went over the back on that crucial ORB. There were quite a few bad calls throughout the game on both sides IMO.
