Billups is 37. That dude is a stud.

Its not about how old you are. Its about can you ball.

Sure would have been nice to pick him up. 2.5M for two years.

Is that over the bi annual ?

Good game.

That frontcourt is a beast. Monroe was playing inspired out there, it looks like he took the trade rumors/lack of extension personally.

He is so good at getting leverage and angles. Very talented.

15 FTAs and 16 boards.

See you in a Wizards uni next year Mr Monroe.

Thats not happening!

Also, I would gladly take Webster off Wizards hands for Rodney Stuckey or Charlie V's expiring contract. He was invisble tonight but he's a solid bench player

Just look at the minutes and who got them for both teams.

That tells the story right there.

Booker, Webster and AH.. 59 minutes 10 pts, 7 rebs, 4 FTAs

Wall probably will look good on the stat sheet but he should be dominating that back court duo. I expected to lose the front court match up but whatever the stats were I think Detroit's back court did more to help their team win with tons of penetration, timely passes and key shots. I'm telling myself that Wall will grow into being worth the max but right now I'm not loving the shot, the defense or the decision making--I'll rephrase, his decisions aren't that bad but I'm not seeing much leadership.

I'd probably take that deal, to get out of Websters contract so I can resign Ariza.

I'm not going to overreact but I will be critical. Pretty bad overall first half by the backcourt. I can live with their shooting woes, but they ought to pride themselves on their defense. Especially Wall.

Moreover, the rotations just didn't make sense to me. I like Randy, but I think he handicaps the team at times. Gortat should start and Seraphin should be the backup center. I understand not doing it for one game, but it can't be an ongoing thing he experiments, ESPECIALLY against a big team like DET.

Gortat should match up better against Philly, but apparently Michael-Carter Williams and Evan Kermit-the-frog Turner are ready to destroy their FO mandated tank. I suspect we'll right ship.

Also, **** Josh Smith, when did he start to decide draining 3s? lol.

tonight wasn't as embarrassing as the preseason match up. At least cause the end result wasn't bad. But Wall made some horrifically bad defensive plays. At least today his playmaking was there. Beal was fairly unspectacular. Billups shouldn't be a tough cover for him...guess it goes down as a "learning" experience for him. Still, I'm not going to flip a ****......yet.

Rice Jr woulda helped.

Wtf has happened to Seraphin? Hes turning into McGee part II.

Harrington was useless.

Beal and Wall just couldnt get it together this game. Same with Nene.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Wall started to get the mid range and drive but it was too late in 4th quarter.. he needs to be more agressive and take better shots. I didn't see the whole game but can't lose to Detroit. Seraphin should of started imo guarding Monroe or Drummond.

2 Instances i saw Wall pass the ball to Nene and he lost it twice come on you can't be doing that :-? .

First post I have read. Didnt see the game. I am joining this discussion on (EDITED) page 32 …

Nuposse04, I read your thoughts above. Randy is where I direct the line of fire as far as I can tell. I liked him until I considered his stance on Vesely. I also think he should have had say in keeping Shannon Brown (and/or Kendall Marshall). Coaching decisions matter. Randy Wittman now has talent, veterans, young, older, and a lot of egos to manage. Tonight, how did he do?

I posted days ago I thought they were not able to make sure to start Gortat right away. I thought Vesely would be odd man out. Wizards kept Singleton when Shannon Brown on the road, next to his former Laker buddy, Trevor Ariza, might have shot better than YOUNG Bradley Beal. Brown or Rice Jr., who got a DNP CD.

ALSO, why on earth did Martell Webster take only one shot? Seems on nights Beal struggles should he shoot 18 and Martell just one?

Booker against Monroe and Drummond? No Vesely. Was Seraphin ahead of Gortat?

Saw none of the game but outside in seems this team will fail miserably if same old folks get to play.

Be honest here, but what you think is the reason the coaches are doing this? any hidden stealth logic to it underneath it?
