When I brought up the idea someone told me I was crazy, not sure who.

It went something like: Good thing people like you aren't GM's.

For how quiet we kept it it really makes me wonder what rose/ bulls etc were doing last year with the rose might play crap every week. In the end everyone hated him. They should have just kept it quiet like we did about Bynum.

Speaking of playing tonight, we have 3 games in 4 days. What's up with that?

Andrew Bynum acknowledged for the first time that he had experienced "little, sharp pains" in his knees and said he wasn't sure his explosiveness would return.

Thoughts?

Not sure what to think, as long as he continues to play and slowly increases his minutes I will be encouraged. For now I am not counting on him being healthy for the entire season. I hope I am wrong though, we will just have to wait and see.

The bright spot in this story is that Bynum can excel without getting his explosiveness back. He has shown great footwork since the beginning of the season, and at 7'1" 285, with his strength and smooth pivots he can excel on offense without being crazy explosive(not sure he ever really was, though)

And he can still anchor a defense, some of the best defensive centers play flat. (Marc Gasol, Roy Hibbert).

The one thing I'm not confident about will be his ability to box out some of these more athletic guys, I'd hate to see us give up a ton of offensive boards.

We're just playing the waiting game with Bynum, and we won't know how good this team can be until we see him healthy. I just hope he gets there soon, and stays that way.

One day after I say he can survive without his explosiveness, he expresses that he is considering retiring.

Coool.

To be honest, I think that anyone who has have major surgery considers retiring from time to time.
