Hayward
Harkless

Kanter

Oladipo

Hayward wants Paul George money, that is why they won't extend him. He is still gonna be restricted free agent. Most likely, he won't fetch anywhere near a max deal, thus jazz will match no problem. Also, jazz considers Burke, Burks, Hayward, Kanter, and Favors to be the core. We are not getting any of them at discount, although they would at least talk about it if we give up Hark.

One week removed from the season's first big trade -- Marcin Gortat to Washington -- you're surely wondering: Who's next?

To borrow from one of legendary wheeler-dealer Don Nelson's pet phrases: Jameer Nelson is a good name.

The Magic, according to the latest rumbles, would surrender Nelson today if offered a future first-round pick for him. Orlando GM Rob Hennigan continues to chase draft picks and young assets above all else as he remakes the Magic.

The problem, of course, is that teams have never been more reluctant to surrender first-round picks -- and the cap-friendly contracts they carry -- than we see nowadays. Even a proven point guard like Nelson, who's making a reasonable $8.6 million this season and is owed only $2 million guaranteed next season, could struggle to command one in return.

Perhaps a contender will be willing to make that sacrifice as we get deeper into the season, needing that one last piece for a playoff push, but first-rounders and their precious rookie-scale contracts are, well, precious. Which is why Chicago never had a hope of acquiring a future first in exchange for young guard Marquis Teague no matter how hard the Bulls tried to get one for Teague throughout October.

Gimme your best trade scenario.

Man, I really like Jameer. He's been a trooper, I gotta look past my desire for him to retire here and let him move on to greener pastures.

We should trade Afflalo, not Jameer. Would be nice to have Jameer play here his entire career, would be the first.

I think Nelson's value will increase as the season goes on or if a contending team's starting point guard goes down.

If it is a first, it will be protected and in a future year.

The Magic also have Hedo Turkoglu's contract as trade bait and would love to move Glen Davis.

Aaron Afflalo could also be moved but we will have to wait and see what happen.

I like him too, but it would be better for everyone if we traded him. Dipo could start and Nelson could end his career in the playoffs. I think signing Price was in anticipation of Nelson leaving.

It'll be sad to see Jameer go, but it's gotta happen. I don't even think he is done.. he would be an awesome guard off the bench for a lot of playoff teams. I'd like to see Afflalo shipped out first because every game he plays, his value drops. Hopefully Jameer can land on a team like the Bulls or Pacers thats prepared for a deep playoff run where he would fit the culture and add some much needed shooting while getting hid on defense

Of the playoff teams, Indiana seems like the team that would most benefit from Jameer's services. Would be a pretty low pick though.

This could also turn into a scenario like last season when trading JJ for a prospect on another team might end up being better than acquiring any 1st round pick being offered.
