On the positive side - Ariza is showing he can rebound in a big way :)

Lol and smh are really the only things that come mind at this point.

What exactly is the identity of this hodgepodge mix of scrubs Ernie has put together?

Brett Brown will be a great coach for Philly. The Sixers looked fluid on offense and really disciplined on defense.

Beal couldn't hit a shot to save his life and Ariza turned it over like crazy towards the end of the game. I wouldn't blame any of this loss on Wall, he played as hard as he could. I feel bad for him, he just wants to win so bad. Webster needs the ball in his hands more often.

I'm starting to hate Nene, it seems like he just wants to sit back and collect checks. The softest big in the game.

Nene played well with Okafor, even when Nene's health was going downhill. Okafor was more important to the team than even I appreciated. Many of you called it. I was wrong.

I don't hate Nene. He's hurt. How the Wizards adjust is crucial.

Based on what..?? :-?

Funny how Wall pretty much had to carry this team from start to finish, yet gets blamed b/c the rest of the team didn't came to play... This board is getting more unreadable by the year...

Couse Wall plays so stupid ball. He does just one thing very well - 1st step and drive. The rest is horrible. Shot selection, pass selection, tempo control, leadership... How to hell you can play all the offensive plays in 3-8 seconds? All the players needed helmets today, couse of the bricks falling from the sky... Pro ball? Streetball, and not class streetball...

This game was lost by starting guards. All 3 bigs + Al played well or very well. Wall & Beal played solo and played very very bad. Look at stats.
Offense wins games, Defense wins championships...

He didn't seem too interested in boxing out Thad Young at the end of the game. Philly overall seemed to play harder wire to wire.

People need to get a grip.

I can deal with Beal playing bad until he finds his rhtymn but not excuse for Wall to just quit mentally or will wise

Wall didn't quit in the 4th. He missed shots. He still finished with 26 points, 6 assists and just 2 turnovers with a TS% north of 60%. Tough to blame him.

Booker had the second best rebounding rate on the team, better than everyone but Ariza. He outrebounded Gortat, Seraphin and Harrington on a per minute basis.

Philadelphia fan BNelley24 is making more sense than the rest of you guys. He rightfully pointed out that Beal's bad night handed them the victory. He is right. Beal couldn't throw it in the ocean. He shot 4-18 with 5 turnovers. If he has merely a moderately bad night and goes 8-18 with 3 turnovers, we win the game.

Yeah, looks like they are going to be tough outs every night. I guess the Heat game wasn't a fluke.

The game plan other teams have used is simple:

Key on Bradley Beal and don't let him beat you. Pressure defend Bradley Beal.

Randy Wittman has made the typical coaching mistake of putting veterans above young. Vesely and Seraphin could have matured and improved but they won't play. Booker will and so will Singleton some whenever he comes back. The pecking order for playing time isn't based on merit IMO. Personal favorites of the coach will play. Beal can shoot and play forever even if he's confused or double teamed like never before.

In short, the team just got dumber without Okafor and they got worse defensively. What's their new identity and who's the leader now? It's NOT Nene or Wall IMO.

Pretty much. It will take at least 15 games for Wittman to be fired, and the other teams in the East are better than I thought.

I STILL SAY the Wizards have 50-win talent. They've got mush now with the new roster. Mush the coaching can't figure out IMO.

No offense but this has to be the most bipolar board I've ever encountered.

Players go from being stars to not even being worthy of the D-League within a matter of minutes.

This was a disappointing loss but how about at least waiting 10 games before you form an opinion?

Edit: But with that being said, offense is an afterthought to Randy Wittman.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

I'm not terribly broken up about this particular result nate; really this seemed to fall within the normal deviation in performances for the major players on each team and Philly may have had a minor advantage in younger players who's relative strengths haven't been sapped by the vampire that is professionally scouted defense.

I'd just like to see a team that looks like it was designed to do something in particular to frequently win basketball games, whichever season's convenient really.

Agreed, still tough to watch them give up that lead though. Would have also liked to have seen more of an offensive flow to get Beal some better looks. Webster did get some looks, I guess we just need to get Beal open too.

Hopefully, they can learn from tonight's game and play with more structure instead of the run and gun. The game was very messy.

I disagree. He missed shots in the 3rd. He shut it down in the 4th. He wasnt running or trying much. Then he got to the point where you could tell he didnt want to shoot. He had a rook on him and didnt want to take him anymore. Maybe it was the injury but he wanted no parts of that game in the 4th
