I thought it would be interesting to take a sample of players at their Per 36 production and then average them out as filtered for height. For each position I took what Wiki says is the height range for a position, so a PG is 6'4 and shorter, a center 6'10 and taller, and so on. I took the last ten years for players that played over 28 MPG just because I didn't feel like copying an pasting dozens of pages of player stats into excel. As it was I still have a sample of 1,258 players, with our bookends being Lebron James and Adam Morrison, appropriately haha.

Any interesting insights from this? The trends are pretty predictable, the bigger you get the better your FG% and defensive stats + rebounding numbers. The main reason I did this was to have a nice benchmark to compare some of our tweeners to.

Orlando Magic Hall of Fame would be good. All this talk about retiring jerseys, not one is deserving yet. But there's plenty players that should be honored.

Shaq, Penny, Tmac, 3D, Horace, Armstrong, Hedo, Skiles, Dwight, Shard, Jameer (one day), and Nick Anderson off the top of my head would be in there. Maybe Grant Hill, not for accomplishments in a Magic jersey, but he was a stand up guy and I don't think he's gotten a fair shake with us. I don't know if we still boo him, but we did and undeservedly so. I wouldn't mind including him.

We gotta reconnect with our stars. Everyone leaves in such a volatile way, with so much fallout. The Magic is a very proud franchise. We don't get enough credit for how quality of a franchise, especially with how relatively young we are. And I think a big part of that is our relationship with past stars. It's not right that our stars are sort of outcasts. Look at Philly and how Iverson retired. We should have that with our guys too.

I think we could make a trade for Jeremy Lamb centered around AA. He could be that 3rd scorer then really need to win a ring.

OKC really needs a player like AA. I wouldn't doubt Denver would like AA back, but I doubt they would do for Faried.

AA for Turner is a joke, not a chance in a hell for a tanking team to trade youth for a vet contract.

AA is not worth the #1 overall pick in this lifetime.

Doubt Teague gets traded at all.

Not the popular opinion but... If Afflalo is playing this well and it continues... Why not just keep him on the team?

he'll be 30+ by then, he is too inconsistent imo. if he continues playing like this we should definitely sell high on him, he is hurting our tanking effort, lol
