GT: Spurs vs. Lakers

Post#1 » by Nolan » Fri Nov 1, 2013 4:58 am

When: 10:30 PM ET, November 1, 2013
Where: STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, CA

Well we played a solid 48 minutes in the season opener against Memphis and if we can reproduce that effort tomorrow night against the Lakers we should get an easy win. But if we don't the Lakers could surprise us, like they did to the Clippers the other night. We need to take Gasol out the game and defend the three point line.

Go Spurs!!

Sloppy game that shouldn't of been that close. But a wins a win I guess.

Well it could've went either way, the Lakers were up double digits and let the Spurs back in it. But the Spurs being a veteran more experienced team with some players....I expected them to adjust.

Anyway most teams and fans just think the Lakers will just be awful and will lay down, that is a fatal mistake to think. They will compete with anybody on most nights, it's learning how to grind out the close games that will most likely cost them until Kobe returns.

I have to say i'm impressed with what you guys have done through three games. With a healthy Kobe you guys should be in the playoff picture.

I must say I was impressed with how the current Lakers are seizing the opportunity and buying into D'antoni's system. I thought that team was going to be a total train wreck but they showed alot against us. Now I was never a D'antoni fan or a fan of his system. I think it wins regular season games but not playoff games. With that said, I still think it's LA's best chance of winning this games this year. Nash sitting at the end of the game says alot also unless he was hurt.

I'm not trying to troll, but I really wonder how that team will react then Bryant comes back. I just listened to an ESPN radio interview with D'antoni and he freely admits that he does not have any control over what Kobe Bryant does. They seem to be building a nice chemistry and flow with all the new players and I wonder if Bryant coming back might mess that all up.

Yeah the Lakers suck a lot less than I thought they would. That said, the best they can hope for is a lower seed and another first round exit. Might as well join the tank brigade for Wiggins and start over.
