When was the last time. The #1 pick didn't make a basket in his first two games?

The Good:
Tristan Thompson continues to have a fantastic start to his season.
Jarrett Jack aside from that terrible airball had a another solid game.
CJ Miles continues to add scoring punch off the bench and was one of 3 guys who looked like they cared tonight.
Bynum really looks like he is ready to start extending his minutes. Who would have thunk it. He is a game changer.

The Bad:
Kyrie had another subpar game. I love the assists, but he needs to be more aggressive.
The Refs.. They did everything they could to keep Tristan out of the game and gave the Bobcats 12 more FT attempts (34 in total). Geesh.
Zeller continued to look overmatched. Here's hoping he's still just coming back off of injury.

The Ugly
Dion had a rough game. His defense and hustle were lackluster. He drove to the basket 1 time that I can recall and didnt get a foul call. Gotta keep driving.
Clark looked pretty damn bad. In all actuality he didnt look very good in the first game, he juts happened to make two big/lucky plays. Im hoping he's still adjusting to this team, cause if not he looks like complete bench fodder.
Bennett. Poor, poor Anthony. I really hope that his injury is a legit reason, and not just an excuse for his play so far. Gotta give him a few more weeks before we judge him too harshly.

Still, we played a terrible game and had a chance to beat an improved Charlotte team. I think they have a chance to fight for an 8 seed with that defensive focus.

Dion only played 14 minutes. I thought that Henderson only got one point the entire time Dion was on him (but Dion's team defense is a work in progress which is probably why he was benched). I am getting very concerned by the lack of anything appearing to be an organized offense. Very few ball screens, pick and rolls, back door cuts, movement away from the ball, moving the ball from one side of the court to other, etc... If the plan is give the ball to Kyrie and have him dribble until he is double teamed, Waiters is going to have a long season. At some point, even the best players need good looks and easy buckets. I don't care how good your defense is, when you shoot 38% as a team and have 17 turnovers, you aren't going to win many games.

Clark is not a three. He is a four. We should start Gee against the bigger threes in the league and CJ against the more slender ones.

Bennett needs to improve before he gets buried on the bench.

The officiating was horrid. Of the twenty nine fouls that were called on the Cavs, perhaps half are usually called.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Some Issues:

1. Earl Clark sucks, does not spread the floor, and should not start
2. Clark/Thompson/Varejao definitely does not spread the floor = Kyrie and Dion struggling
3. Dion is not JJ Hickson Mike - do not make him the scapegoat
4. Mike - run plays for the rookie Bennett please. He looks very uncomfortable. Remember Orlando preseason?

Other than that - I love how we are defending.

Bennett has two problems.

1) He doesn't look ready to play NBA ball at all, and not just because he's way out of shape (which is ridiculous. NBA players who aren't in shape are just slackers.)

2) He's terrible right now and he's playing behind a guy at his position who is really good - perhaps a better prospect for PF, and twice the athlete.

He might get hopelessly buried this season on a Cavs team that has high hopes of making the playoffs, and who are trying to overcome being a bad defensive team. Bennett on the floor at the four makes the chances of your defense being good under Brown, kindof an impossibility.

Even though it was close at the end it always felt like the bobcats had that game. We just could never get it going.

- Thompson was great, shame he got in foul trouble.

- Jack should have gotten more minutes early when he was on fire.

- Miles played great. Still shoots every time he gets the ball but its going in this season and he'll have a much lesser role than last season so im ok with it.

- Brown should have subbed Dion back in late in the game.

- What the hell was up with that bucket they counted after the bobcats guy hung on the rim and the ball went through? The one were they got the and 1 call off it because one of our guys shoved him in the back ( cant remember which players it was).

Is there something im missing in that play? How wasnt it basket interference?

- Oh and Kemba killed us

I watched this game and I'd never seen a team flop as much as Charlotte. It was awful.

Bennett just looks like he has no idea what to do. He doesn't look comfortable and doesn't look like he understand how he'll be able to contribute on offense.
