Love won't win it, but it would be amazing for Wolves fans and the team if he was in the discussion for MVP all season long if they can maintain this level of play.

Living in California, i've seen almost every single Clipper game since "Lob city" and let me tell you; Chris Paul is the most important player in the league for his team.

Take away Bron from the Heat and Miami is still one of the playoff teams in the East. Take off Durant, the Thunder would MAYBE have a fighting chance in the west (low chance), but if you take off Chris Paul on the Clippers even with big names like Blake/Jordan/Crawford/JJ ...they aren't even sniffing the playoffs.

Chris Paul has to create offense for EVERYONE on the team besides Jamaal Crawford, it's actually sickening. Blake is so uncomfortable in the post, you can tell he would rather face up and attack than back his man down. Jordan doesn't even know what he wants to do when he gets the ball outside of a lob or put back dunk. I haven't seen enough of JJ or Dudley on the Clips, but from what i've seen in years past, they are set shooters that are pretty good at getting open.

My MVP rankings SO FAR would go:

1. Chris Paul
2. Kevin Love
3. Kevin Durant
4. James Harden
5. Tony Parker

Come on, at least give it 10 games.

Paul fricking George is the leading scorer in the NBA above Melo AND Durant.

And Tyson Chandler isn't averaging 5 blocks for a season. Much less Hibbert at 7.

The only things we can see right now are basic assumptions based on limited sample size of 2-3 games.
Paul George's shot is better/he's on fire.

Kevin Durant has no second option and is now shooting 35 times a game.
Howard is still not back to where he was pre-injury but is dominating the glass again.
Melo is cold as ice but a madman on defense.

All I'm saying is, give it time.

Paul George through 2 games: 28 ppg (leads league), 6 rpg, 5 apg, all with arguably the best defense in the league. The Pacers are 2-0.

I am biased and will put both Harden & Howard on top of the list if they continue to dominate.

CP3 looks focused this year, he's leading the MVP race ( after 2 games lol ) for me.

proofs in the pudding and Jordan only has 5. Unless the voters no longer play by those rules and start giving the award to the most deserving of it. And in that case there is a great chance lebron wins it again this year.

The GOAT MCW winning it. Its a look as they cruise to the No 2 seed and a 58-24 record.

i don't know who is Rockets MVP
it is Howard defense and Harden offense carrying the team
last year we can score but can't stop opponent from scoring but this year is so much better
i hope it is a tie and co-MVP

Having two top MVP candidates on the same team will only hurt both of their candidacies. They will take away votes from each other.

Is he even MVP of his own team with Harden on it..

I do like Dwight's chances for DPOY though.

But if you take Love away from the wolves, then you have a sad sorry excuse for a bottom feeder that at best tanks. Take CP3 away from the clips then you still have blake, DJ, and whoever else is on that team.

So far:

1. Paul George
2. Chris Paul
3. Kevin Love

I think LeBron will win the MVP once again though.

T-Wolves were on track to being a .500 team without Love before half of their team was injured last season. Its hardly a bad team. This season they got Rubio, Pek, K-Mart, Budinger, D. Will, Shved, Barea and that new guy Dieng. Not a good team but not a bad one either(would make the playoffs in the East tbh). Clippers without Paul are a .500 as evidenced by their poor play without last season.

CP3 for me. If the clippers can get a top 3 seed he will be hard to beat.

Will likely be out of him, Durant and Lebron when its all said and done. Those three guys are that far above anyone else in the league its not funny.

Lets face it.. its probably going to come down to who wins the most games.. statistically and production wise, Lebron, Durant, CP3, Harden, Rose all could win it obviously but lets just see who wins the most games..

Too early. 20 games would be a good sample size
