It's annoying.

They want to act like they didn't try at all, that we were going 150%, that everything went in our favor while everything went against them, and we still only beat them by 1 point.

They're salty as hell.

I think it's hilarious. I was rolling last night reading it after I saw myself out of this thread.

Miami played their studs big minutes. They were trying very hard. Sure the 3 treys in the last minute "count", but they were damn lucky to make them - especially with Wade & Bron making 2 of them. This was not a definitive statement game - but it was a very nice W.

At least we won. There's a great article on ESPN dealing with how the team's depth was difficult for the Heat to deal with.

I was saying since the roster was solidified that our depth was going to be killer Teams won't be able to rest their starters for long against our bench.

Yeah and I thought we were super-deep before Shaun Livingston's preseason.

Amazing win guys.

I love how Miami fans are going "we played terrible but we still almost won."

Like GTFO. They made three 3s in the final minutes. Including a contested Lebron three in the last minute. How often does that happen?

Not to mention, D-Will and Lopez played under 30 mins. We didn't even NEED THEM. Thats how good this team is.

Its clear to me, that Miami is not unstoppable. They were stopped in '11 by the Mavs, and the '13 Finals to me was not convincing at all.

They are not showing the signs of a three peat type team. Yes they are an amazing team. But they are very vulnerable.

They will not win this year. I don't know if it will be us, Indian, or even New York. But they are not making the Finals this year, in my opinion.

Left out Chicago on purpose. They are not as good as people think.

I don't think so either, their offense has been the same for 3 years now and their depth is weaker. The Nets would beat the Bulls this year in a 7 game series IMO.

Hey Nets fans, quick question.

Who was coaching the Nets last night? I assumed Lawrence Frank would fill in as head coach but I was surprised to see someone else instead. Who was that and why wasn't Frank coaching?

Prunty. Not sure why. Some have speculated so as not to undermine Kidd if Frank went 2-0 and looked great and then Kidd gets off to a slow start.

Johnson getting under 30 mpg while he was playing pretty well, you'd never see this last year. looking at euro basketball, its regular for the best players on top teams to average under 30 mpg, sometimes like around 24 (in the case of Krstic). Wondering what our euro experts (NI Nets?) think about the benefits of shorter rotations. Definitely we field less talent with guys like Anderson on the floor more, but maybe this comes at the benefit of maximizing efficiency and increased defensive effort.

arent there less minutes in a euro game though?

Frank is the defensive coach, and maybe they wanted him to focus on that.

It's 10 per quarter but ususally it's still pretty balanced.

Anderson, Reggie and Blatche certainly do not maximize efficiency.

ona sidenote... why after like 50 years in the league does garnett not have low post move? i mean i get he is super efficient at what he has done in his career, but you'd think he'd have developed like a jump hook or drop step move for when the likes of shane battier are on him.

he gets it down there and the best you are getting is a semi-fade away turnaround jumper

KG's strong, but not strong enough to establish lowpost position on anywhere near a constant basis. KG saves his energy for the things he excels at, which shows what an intelligent player he is, and how it is not all about ego.

Went back and watched this one on DVR and although there were some annoying lulls, the crowd noise was very loud and pretty into it.

Eventually this will be one of the better homecourts in the league IMHO.

I mean for our starters... guys are going to play harder if they know they're not being counted on for 35-40 minutes. Lopez's minutes were restricted last season to great effect.

less minutes yeah, but why should this matter. is the game played at a higher intensity? if it makes sense to play your star for 36 mpg (82 games per year!) in the nba why isnt it worth it in euroleague? the only possible argument is that if you have a deep bench its better to spread the minutes out... see our olympic team as well.
