guess harris has officially adopted the "T12" nickname? He gives it a mention in his twitter profile and has a cool logo for it.

I know we are only a few games in but I am very impressed with Nicholson . His rebounding and defense are much improved along with his long range jumper . If he keeps playing like this I could envision him as our starting PF with Tobias sliding over to SF

Nicholson Should be Starting right now being that we're a bad team, don't know if he would start on a good team but Maxiell is NOT playing as well as Nicholson even on the defensive end and i NEVER thought i would say that. I think the plan might be Start Davis when he comes back, trade him at the deadline and viola Nicholson is either Starting or getting some big minutes every game.

Love how he uses his body to create space on that layup against Davis.

i agree with this. Get him in there, he looks better this year, see if his game makes even more strides with more playing time. Look at what Tobias did last year after the trade with more playing time.

loved the slam by Nicholson. in real time i thought he had some hang time going. caught me off guard a bit. the stupid rim robbed him of a couple of threes too.

IMO Baby needs to go more than Afflalo/Nelson - I'm totally fine with a Vuc/Tobias/Nicholson/Maxiell/KOQ big man rotation. That way Harkless or Tobias don't get buried if they're battling for SF minutes.

It might be tough for Nicholson up until the deadline if no injuries occur god forbid. He does not deserve to be buried on the bench going forward, he's put in work and it's showing. As a coach you'd have to look at this improvement and want to keep that momentum going but it's possible he could be stunted or have setback if he has irregular minutes because we want to "showcase" certain vets.

He's really earned the starting job. And O'Quinn has earned his backup minutes too. It's a shame one of the two of them is going to be on the outside when Harris/Davis come back because they've played solid ball so far.

Honestly if you take some time and think about our 3 games so far we've been competitive. I mean we were right there for 3 quarters vs Indiana, Basically had the Minnesota game won if not for Love, and we blew New Orleans off the planet into the stratosphere. All that basically without arguably our best player in Tobias and best Big Defender in Big Baby, all while coach is messing with minutes and playing scrubs. I've been saying we might not be as bad as everyone thinks, that being said we have a long way to go so time will tell.

Oladipo has no shot if he doesn't get 28+MPG.

MCW is crushing it. Early days still, but that's a damn good start to an NBA career.

It's more than minutes... Dipo could play 30+ and he still won't average more than 13-15 ppg, which wouldn't be enough to win ROY. Nelson and Afflalo take way too many opportunities away from him. The overtime game from the other night where he didn't touch the ball perfectly illustrates that. I just hope he gets the ball more and more as the season progresses... don't want to be here in February and still have him sitting still in the corner waiting for a pass.

i said it before i'll say it again MCW is in a different situation. It's like this, Philly handed him the keys to brand new sports car and told him he could drive it anytime he wants and however long he wants. Dipo on the other hand was handed the keys to brand new sports car but can only drive it at certain times and has bring it back quite often. I think Henny senses Dipo's situation and that is why there are whispers than Nelson is on the trading block like right now.

For the sake of basketball knowledge, just admit it to yourself if you were one of the 90% down on MCW in the pre-draft here. This is why I suggest post-draft analysis and retrospection, it will improve our board's thoughts on prospects instead of getting those constant he's trash statements about someone exactly like MCW, who thoroughly outplayed Rose tonight and is dramatically ahead of the PG curve as a true point over most other prospects.

It looks like we have a (far off still, but increasingly looming projection) on the Magic's first Major mistake of the new era. Yes, it's major. We're hunting for superstars, not really good players. Sure the Magic might of came away with a top 2-4 best player of the draft but they also drafted #2 meaning they let slip anyone who wasn't named Anthony Bennett. (This potentially includes MCW, Noel, Otto, Trey, McLemore etc.) They also were heavily linked to MCW at one point through mainstream media sources, ranking him ahead of Trey supposedly. What's the use of a warchest of assets if not for that #9 or #10 pick to grab MCW? (#9 pick was literally put in an actual trade too).

I'm as big a fan of Jameer, Skiles and Darrell as any but the Magic have not had a major talent PG since Penny. PG is the fundamental point of attack for almost every team of the league, including ours. It's time to take some coal on 2013 and make sure the 2014 draft is actually useful on a real superstar level, no matter position.

Sorry but it had to be said if it becomes obvious later in the season  They shouldn't be the Bobcats. The Magic are the franchise of superstars.

MCW stats through 3 games (all wins), on a team not loaded with pure shooters:
20.6 PPG, 47 FG%, 47 3P% (2.6 3PM), 9.0 APG to 2.3 TO, 4.6 RPG, 4.3 SPG

If the Magic's draft board was #1 Oladipo, #2 Noel, #3 McLemore, #4 or #5 MCW, and the actual draft goes #2 Oladipo but then #SIX Noel, #SEVEN McLemore and #ELEVEN MCW, and maybe I'm overstepping here from the fan view, but if the Magic had their personal big board with MCW anywhere close as their top 5, this CLEARLY becomes a FFS don't overthink it and grab the Magic's #2-8 prospect who has now fallen to #9-11, with a deal for the #9 pick. Especially in a shi-tty "rebuild" era.

while I generally agree with you, I cant say i agree that's it's Henny's responsibility to make sure Oladipo wins ROY.

If you're saying he needs more reps to improve then I get that.
