Wouldn't have mattered. Randy didn't turn to that when he had a chance last year and even started Pargo over him. He tied everyone but Crawford until he had no other choice and Crawford went off for like 30 pts and had a couple really nice games with high assists. Then he replaced him as soon as he could.
Big Balls was an entertaining character and could get it going sometimes, but he is way to unconventional for Randy to handle.
I felt he should have been the stating PG with Wall out and he would have made for an interesting back up PG once he returned. Crawford was miscast as a back up SG instead of a back up PG. When he played PG, he was less likely to be a shot jacker because he had the ball in his hands more and he actually is a willing passer.
Would have been real interesting to see him backing up Wall right now specially since this team has so little in the way of playing that can dribble drive assist, score and who can create their own space. Hate on him if you want, but Crawford could do those things. And he was always ready for the next game.
Randy F'd Crawford like he is Ves.
