I can understand 8 in the morning on the east being an ok time but in the next game I'd hope that the west coasters are taken into consideration in the draft times allotted. As it stands if the draft is a few hours late I wouldn't be too bothered personally.

Noted.

Since draft order won't be known until morning, I'm debating starting the autopick clock until later. I don't think its fair to those early in the draft to not have time to prepare for what they want to do. Additionally, I will be out for roughly three hours Sunday afternoon. So either I wait to start the clock until after I return, or possibly wait until Monday. Thoughts?

Picks can still be made, but the autopick clock wouldn't be in effect.

Monday please.

Also, I've been busy all week and weekend so far, and finally have the time to sit down and do rankings, so those will be posted in a little bit.

Just so everyone knows, I have been heavily leaning that way already. Just works out so much better for my sanity. Also, I will probably take Oden2's thoughts into consideration as well, moving back the start of the autopicks.

I will open the draft thread once the order is posted. At that point, teams can get started with making their picks early if they wish to.

Unless I get heavy backlash, autopicks will start on Monday.

Just want to say I'm 100% committed to this game still, but I am also on vacation outside of Canada and US. I'll be back on Monday to beat all you guys.

Team - # of wins expected - short summary

Golden State- 58- Love this team on both ends of the floor. A definite contender, despite my skepticism of a Melo-led team winning it all.

Detroit- 56- Similar to GS. could be a dark horse contender. I like most of these pieces a lot, but I wish there was more frontcourt defense.

Indiana- 55- any team with Lebron has a legit shot of going to the finals, but this team needs shooters around Lebron more than it needs lots of depth in the frontcourt. Deng isn't the most useful in this situation either.

Miami- 54- I don't care how good people say Hibbert and George are- they don't come close to replacing Lebron. Wade is thrust back into being the 1st option, something I don't think he can still do.

Cleveland- 53- I would pay a lot of money to see this team play. All-around really good.

Milwaukee- 51- This team's starting five is stacked. The second string is legit as well and has three average-to-above-average starters.

LAC- 48- pretty good. depth helps a lot when your best player is 86 years old. seriously two-deep with starters at every position.

Chicago- 46- Euro steps, three-point shooting, and bench production galore.

New York- 44- This is what the Warriors would have been last season if they traded the heart and soul of the team for Kevin Love and replaced him with Jameer Nelson. Don't know I'm a fan of this.

Houston- 43- Crazy good starting five, uber-weak bench, and two members of the starting five miss significant time. This team wins 55+ games normally, as the roster fits ideally all-around, but Rondo's and Kobe's injuries really hurt in the RS. Once they're back, MKG will look like a stud once his scoring isn't needed.

OKC- 40- Imagine OKC if they traded KD for Gasol, Kawhi, and Derozan. Then Ibaka evaporated. Yeah.

San Antonio- 39- Even Lebron didn't have it this bad in Cleveland. I think KD and role players could compete for the 7th or 8th seed, but not more.

Brooklyn- 37- I really can't get behind this roster. Bynum's knees are shot and I don't like the fit of the Tyreke/Rudy/K-Mart trio and definitely not with BJ backing them up. Like the frontcourt though and keeps them fighting for a playoff seed through to the end of the season.

New Orleans- 36- Great starting frontcourt, poor backcourt, and pretty shaky on the wings too. Granger's health decides a lot. Not a team I'd bet on, would be highly unpredictable.

Orlando- 35 - Will win games. Not enough, but that's a competitive roster that will have some high points and some really low lows.

Sacramento- 34- Lack of D is going to hurt this team. Gallinari's injury also knocks out quite a few wins.

Portland- 32- could be competitive with Drummond and Lillard looking to make leaps to stardom and Beal not too terribly far behind. still too young to really compete yet though.

Dallas- 28- Roughly Jazz's roster with the Pacers' starting backcourt and a weak bench? They'll win enough games to break out of the NBA's worst, but not enough to be competitive.

Atlanta Hawks - 26 - Blopez and way too many point guards. Wish Dennis Schroeder would get more minutes.

Denver- 23 - Kyrie wins this team several games, but don't break out of the cellar.

Utah - 22- solid prospects and a few good vets to balance things out. Won't be competitive, but I like Giannis a lot.

Memphis- 21- Lawson and picks 1-10 in this year's draft (minus McLemore). Far too inexperienced to compete, plus the top 10 isn't nearly as good as most years.

Philly- 18- Dion Waiters makes a great tank commander.

Lakers- 17- Wallace, STAT, Terry will win you some games, but very few. Lakers want their next Kobe in 2014, don't they?

Phoenix- 15- There are only five players that even belong on NBA rosters and two of the best three form an ultra-weird fit.

Charlotte - 14- Dell Curry would be the third best offensive player on this team and all he does is announce the game. Props for keeping Steph and McBob though. McBob's quickly becoming one of my favorite players.

Boston - 13- undoubtedly terrible by design. good job.

Toronto- 10- essentially bottomed out the roster. might break my cats' record for least wins in a season. #tankforwiggins?

Minnesota- ???????????????????

I've submitted the draft / playoffs results to Klomp. He should be posting shortly. Once up, we can start but the clock won't officially start until Klomp decides. Thanks.

I vow to never volunteer to commish again. Adding those rankings sux! That's my third time doing it.

And if there's any questions:

For the lotto I assigned each of our 14 non playoff teams to a real life team in the ESPN lotto simulator.

I ran it ten times, and the tenth result is our lottery results.

Klomp has all the info, it will be posted soon.

In the draft thread, the second round = raw draft order

First round = Lotto, then the rest.

The draft is now open. Keep track of which picks you own, because I will not be updating the order with who owns what pick.

For example:
If you own the Memphis pick, you better make your pick by 11:30 am est or you will be autopicked (oh wait, that's me  ).

Make sure when you make your selection, you include the pick number, your team, and the player you are selecting.
