I'm confused as to why anyone would think it was a foregone conclusion that Redick would sign with LAC for less money if the trade didn't occur. Not only would he have had to take less in terms of actual dollar figures, but the cost of living in LA is much higher than Minny. Income tax is also something like 25% higher in California.

We don't know if Redick would have signed for less, just like we don't know if the Bucks truly had a shot at Bledsoe (I think the odds are low in both cases).

Go to nba.com and the highlights from the Knicks game, then check out the Hardaway to Chandler alley-oop highlight and tell me your thoughts on this for a dynamic play.

My thoughts? I don't believe I've ever seen a more awkward, laboured play. I now hate the Knicks.

Xavier Henry, a guy the majority of this board was begging for, is playing pretty damn well right now in LA. Wish we would've got him.

Mirotic is beasting. He is going to Chicago next year and is going to be a huge addition.

I'm AMAZED at how many coaches are miles from any normal rotation. I have no idea what to make of 20 teams.

And I LAUGH at all the people that blasted me for begging for Bledsoe last year and are now saying he is some kind of god. He is still one of the 5 worst shooters in the NBA and has massive TO issues.

This is where we need to look behind the old traditional stat line of shooting percentage.

Bledsoe's shooting percentage through 3 games is only .409%. However, his TS is 56.4% which is well above the league average. That means while he's not hitting his shots at a high clip, he's scoring efficiently in other ways.

In three games, Bledsoe is averaging 11 FTA's a game and making 8.7 of them. While this number will likely come down as the season wears on, generating 11 FTA's per game is elite. We are talking prime Grant Hill, prime Dwayne Wade, prime Dirk type ability to draw fouls.

He needs to cut down on the turnovers, but by all other metrics, he's starting out in rare air by averaging 22ppg/8.7apg/6.3rpg. And he's hitting that assist level while playing alongside another PG, who arguably would cut into his totals.

Whether he can keep this up beyond week one is a legit question. Lots of guys have big opening weeks but then the league adjusts and numbers tail off significantly. But if Bledsoe maintains this pace, Phoenix has an All-NBA performer on their hands and a player worth more than anyone we have on our roster, including Larry Sanders.

Good work Hambone! Way to go out and get Luke Ridnour and Brandon Knight, when this other guy was on the block.

Bledsoe is only being assisted on 10% of his makes, that's a ridiculous number. He's not only creating for others but he's basically creating 9 of 10 field goals made for himself.
