Week 9- Packers vs Bears

Post#1 » by bearadonisdna » Sat Oct 26, 2013 1:11 am

We all know whats going on. Hopefully the packers and lions lose during the bye. We're basically in survival mode right now.
It would be nice if THAT McCown shows up on sunday.

Biggie may no longer be on the board. Big blow because he cared about the bears.

The Packers are going to sit on our face. It will take divine intervention from Papa Bear and Sweetness to find a win next week.

I don't think we're winning this one, but how close will depend on how healthy we got over the break. If Paea and Tillman are close to 100%, this could be a close game than we'd expect. But throwing our backup qb out there and taking away Briggs... I think it is just too much to expect this team to outscore the Packers.

I'll be watching this game strictly to see how the rookies play at LB and the OL. Also to see if the DL can find any cohesiveness. This week I don't expect a win, I just expect a little progress somewhere.

Just a little prediction out of nowhere about this game:

Marquess Wilson will get some legit burn and will look good. Basing this totally on Joe Anderson being dinged up a bit and Josh McCown starting (presumably he has thrown more to the back ups up until two weeks ago than the starters). Also, if he's out there with Marshall and Jeffrey, I'm betting Green Bay doesn't pay him much attention. I'm thinking 3 catches for 40 yards and his first NFL TD. Boom! That's right.

I don't have high hopes for this game. Our offense should do well, but no way our struggling dLine recovers against Aaron Rodgers

Free and1s! I'm in!

I don't have a lot of hope in this one. Matt Bowen suggested maybe the safeties need to do more study than they have. Surprise coment that does not bode well for facing Rogers. Lacy is doing so well I don't know how the Bears stop him. If the do, that means Rogers can light the Bears up because they are playing to stuff the run. Bad setup here.

Bears need to eat up clock on offense, hold their ground on defense some TO's will help, and Hester needs to take one back or at least put in good field position.

Do you believe in miracles?!!?

Bears: 28
Packers: 17

Rodgers leaves the game at the half with 'concussion like symptoms' as a Green Bay O Lineman trips over his own feet and Peppers comes free and blindsides him. :) Seneca Wallace comes in and throws 3 picks, one to ice the game.

McCown: 287 yds, 2 TDs, 1 INT
Forte: 87yds rushing, 60 yds rec, 1 TD
Marshall: 103yds, TD
Jeffrey: 140yds, TD
The Bennetts: 44 yds

Jennings: Pick 6.

I'm looking at this as an evaluation game. How do the rookie LBs do paired up together. How does this offense work withou Cutler?

McCown had a very interesting comment, basically saying that he has to stay completely within the offense because he just can't even thin k about making some of the throws that jay makes. So we are going to get a good look at how the offense is supposed to work. I'm thinking Alshon and Bennet and Bennet will get more balls.

The packers are banged up too. We should be able to move the ball on them

On Defense? Well, we suck so...

We can only hope to win a shootout, since our defense isn't likely to keep Aaron Rodgers under 300yards/3TDs.

Eddie Lacy is the biggest X factor, I think it's him that kills us.

iF Eddie Lacy kills us..... man that guy is a true no namer. It would be infuriating if we cant stop that. but this defense has proven incompetence at every level thus far. We are last in the league in sacks, we had to probowlers on the dline and two probowl corners for coverage sacks.
Really i wonder how long they are going to keep this coordinator that has literally replicated his units in jacksonville.
