probably a record for a #1 pick that played first 4 games, some injured #1 pick has done that before probably

nice new avatar catch... did you make that or is that something that has been floating around the interwebs?

Thanks. It's something I found floating around the internet on a NBA season preview article a couple months ago. I liked the pic so I saved it and then happened to remember it when I was searching for a new avi.

Wallace has been abysmal. He's all but done.

I don't think he cares any more. He was pretty upset when we traded him, saying he wanted to settle down and it's been all downhill since then and quick. Getting traded twice across the country and back since then hasn't done him any favors.

Pathetic on his part if that's the case. Making 8 figures he should show some professionalism. First game he attempted one shot in 40 minutes. Tonight zero shots in 28 minutes.

Apparently hurt his knee too.

Seriously though, zero shot attempts? Would've at least expected some shots to go up. Isn't Stevens pushing everyone on that team to shoot? Even Jared Sullinger is shooting threes.

He actually played OK tonight with 9 points on 4 of 5 shooting, making 1 of 2 3-pointers, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block in 11 minutes

He actually does care as he called the team out on its effort during pre-season. Poor guy just doesn't have it in his body any more.

Yikes, I thought you guys were just talking about Gerald Wallace looking bad for the heck of it until I seem his stat line. Zero points on zero attempts in 27 minutes of play is quite miserable.

From the wire (a shout out to those dancing on McLemore's grave - prematurely):

The Sacramento Kings have been encouraged by the progress of Ben McLemore.

McLemore most recently had 19 points against the Warriors.

McLemore is earning a reputation as a hard worker and a committed defensive player.

"He's done everything we've asked," Mike Malone said. "And what I told him after practice was I love his work ethic and the work habits that he has. I said, 'I hope they never change because if you continue to work this hard and do all the right things, your future is very, very bright.' "

The Kings aren't sure which position McLemore is best suited to play.

"The bottom line is, whether he starts or comes off the bench right now, Ben is a big part of our future," Malone said. "And I have to continue to show confidence in him and give him an opportunity whether it's at (shooting guard) or (small forward), and he's deserving of that opportunity."

Why aren't the Kings sure of which position McLemore is best suited for? I thought he was supposed to be a prototypical SG. I don't think he's tall or strong enough to succeed at SF. I wonder why the Kings are alluding to him being a tweener between shooting guard and small forward. I couldn't imagine him trying to defend LeBron James or Carmelo Anthony, and to a far lesser degree Luol Deng

Well he has length and hops and pulls down alot of rebounds and blocks shots. So as he fills out maybe he can body some of the bigger SF's yet maintain the quickness to blanket the smaller ones. He slashes like a SF. He will put on weight and he could create some mismatches, pulling bigger SF out to the perimeter to defend him from deep. I think either way he's going to have an illustrious career.

That being said, how many posters here questioned his work ethic? Too many. And it was stupid to pass up this guy - thus the fan outrage on draft day. It was stupid ... to be sure.

I never questioned his work ethic, but I did question his ability to create off the dribble, which according to the Kings board is still a huge concern.

Edit: And hes only played one good game. Im sure he will be fine in the long run.

McLemore also had some off the court problems before Kansas that is why he was an older freshman

I like Zeller as a player but not for this roster. The guy is not even starting and look at are scoring situation and spacing issues. You're right about MKG though - hate that pick.
