Package JV+filler for David Lee.

We don't need JV, we don't play him, we don't develop him. We should build around Casey & Gay as our championship centerpieces.

Warriors refuse. They're in win now mode, and while he defends about as badly as James Harden, Lee's fantastic on offense, has the court vision of a PG, and is developing a great rapport with Iggy. We wouldn't mind shoring up our bench, though. If you decide to tank, how about a trade exception for Amir Johnson?

Toronto gets Nene, Ariza, Otto Porter, Jr.

Washington gets Gay, Amir

TOR gets Porter but pays a lot to do it. WAS panics and tries to make a 'win now' save Ernie move.

Are the blazers tanking? I wonder what we could send for them to dump LA and Batum to us

Nuggets don't need to rebuild at all. Their really one good PF away from being really good. I think a deal can be had for Aldridge.. picks plus some combination of Miller, Faried, Mozgov, Chandler, picks.. I'm sure Portland would be interested in some package involving those assets.

Something like Faried, Hickson, Miller, NY 2014 1st pick and two second rounders for Aldridge and Mo Williams and they're a very high seed in the West.

Lawson, Chandler, Gallo, Aldridge, McGee

Tank Tingz

Rudy Gay + Steve Novak + NYK 2016 First for Greg Monroe, Stuckey, C. Villanueva

Tyler Hansbrough + 2nd Rounders for Tony Snell + Marquis Teague

Kyle Lowry + 2nd Rounders for Brandon Knight + Ekpe Udoh

TANK SQUAD

Brandon Knight/Teague
Terrrence Ross/Snell
Demar Derozan/Fields
Greg Monroe/Acy
Valanciunas/Amir Johnson

I'd like to Hang on to both Derozan and Amir, as I like what they can contribute to this team in the long term picture. As long as we grab a top 7 pick for next year, I think we'd be in the position to make some noise the next year, with all our added cap flexibility and improvement in our young players.

I like it, but I'm not sure how motivated DET would be to move Monroe for Gay and I'm not sure why the Hansbourgh trade would happen. Milwakee might also prefer knight to an expiring contract.

DeMar DeRozan to ATL for Schroeder or Teague (after Dec 15)?

Teague is looking pretty damn good, and has a similar contract to DeMar's. Both are in the 1st year of a 4 yr deal. On the other hand, maybe Danny Ferry keeps Teague, and adds to the team he has by trading Schroeder for DeRozan.

Teague
DeRozan
Korver
Millsap
Horford

is pretty solid for the Hawks.

I'm actually not against listening to offers for JV. He still makes silly mistakes.

I think Hansbrough to Chicago is a great trade for both sides since Tyler is too good to let us tank comfortably, while also being a well priced big man off the bench, who can give them some depth, especially at the backup 5 position where Nazr Muhammad just doesn't cut it. He'd fit well in Thib's system.

For the Lowry trade, I'm just trying to look for any team willing to take him on in exchange for a half-decent prospect on a reasonable contract. Might as well try to grab some value for him before he expires.

Doesn't make much sense to deal Val. He's still very young and has the most potential out of our entire roster.

Besides, trading Val would mean then that you're going forward with the flawed core we currently have OR we trade a high pick (Val) for another high pick and hope that new pick pans out.

We've already invested time into Val and C's like him are hard to come by. I prefer to keep him and deal everyone else for picks and prospects and build with him. If I were the Ujiri, I would try and hook him up with The Dream and see if he can develop his offensive post game.. he still has no real go-to move besides either the over the shoulder hook, scoring points at the free throw line or cleaning up the glass. I don't know if he'll ever really be good on offense but that's okay. At a higher level (which we hope to play at one day) we just really need him to rebound, clean the glass and play D which are things he's pretty good at now.

If he maxes out at a 10-12ppg & 10rpg guy, it was still worth it IMO.

Well see here's the thing - the rest of the league knows he's expiring too so IF there's even a team out there that has a need for him and the assets to make it worthwhile for us, it could be difficult finding a taker for him. Teams aren't going to want to shell out too much because there is a chance he might not re-sign. I think we get the most value for him if we package him with Gay but other than that, it'll probably be a really late first from a contending team looking for some bench help or their main PG goes down with an injury. Maybe even a pair of seconds. Perhaps if he was playing really well, our return could be better but it is what it is at this point.

Off the top of my head, I could see maybe Denver and OKC being interested. Both have picks and TPE's that they might want to use closer to the deadline. Indiana could be interested too but that would almost guarantee us taking back George Hill.

For what? Who is worth trading Val for? Because unless it's LBJ or Durant or one of those guys.. Like a sure fire superstar, it's a straight up stupid idea to deal him.

We turned down Tony Parker for him so keep that in mind.

I think Tyler is good in setting up our team culture and hard working attitude. His contract is not a problem as well.

For Lowry, the Lakers is a good trading partner but they dont have next year's 1st rd pick and the only attractive commodities are Jordan Hill(Amir,Tyler &Acy) and Xavier Henry(DD, Ross), which are redundant. So the rumor of Lowry for Nash + might have some legs and it could Ujiri's fallback plan.
