Rockets are pretty much stuck with Lin and possibly Asik with their $15 million balloon payment in the last year of their contract effectively strapping the Rockets financially until they are gone. They don't have much of a bench for a while which was quite evident in the Walloping they got from the Clips last night. Dwight and his defense didn't do much against the 137 point barrage. I hope that depressed Dwight and created a torn Labia.

while it is a balloon payment in the normal sense, the cap charge is evened out over the 3 years, so there is no balloon payment there.

They are still on the hook for $71 mil in 14/15 while they don't have much of a bench.

my math shows $63 mil. And their bench isnt that bad. Brooks, Caspi, Jones, Donuts, Garcia, that isnt a bad bench. they just dont have any bench bigs

I think AN may (unfortunately) be the odd man out, even though I think BBD will also be playing some C so we will have to wait and see how JV distributes his minutes. I sure hope Drew gets his fair share of minutes.

If Nicholson loses minutes to those 2 vets that would be horribly wrong . That guy is outplaying Maxiell and Fat Baby needs to be traded . We are supposed to be developing our young talent not playing vets

Nicholson will lose minutes to them simply because they're vets. Sucks, but Davis needs to be played to showcase him. I think he would have been moved last year if he hadn't gotten injured. He wasn't brought in by Henny and is one of the final holdovers of Otis

I would like to see Nicholson start until BBD gets comfortable again. There would be no point in playing Maxiell when BBD is a better version of him outside of shot blocking. I hope Nicholson stays a part of the rotation.

I see Max and BBD as the two similar players, to me Drew brings a skill set the other 2 don't have.
I see O'Quinn's minutes being cut, both Max and BBD can man the 5 most nights for 10-12 minutes and have experience doing it.

The Knicks lost to the Al Jefferson-less Bobdogs last night and Tyson Chandler suffered some kind of knee sprain. As if that weren't bad enough, Bargnani looks like he's regressed even from last year's abysmal season so I don't have very high expectations about the Knicks season. I don't think even getting JR Smith back will help them enough.

Harkless can start at the 2, with dipo and Harris. SF and SG are mostly interchangeable as long as one of them can be a secondary ball handler.
It doesn't HAVE to be a SG. I think it funny that all of the sudden Harris doesn't have the ball handling if it means starting Harkless at the 2. SMH. Anything to avoid giving Moe any type of credit for anything

What the heck does saying Harris doesn't have comparable handles compared to Durant/Harden have to do with Moe?

I can't even see what "credit" would possibly be withheld from Harkless by talking about Tobias weaker areas? How do you even connect the two? Am I not being accurate in saying Tobias doesn't have the ball handling of Durant/Harden?

He doesnt HAVE to have the ball handling skills of Durant or Harden for it to work is the point, why cant he just be a servicable secondary ball handler, why does it have to be that extreme?

While Harris isn't elite in that catagory he was still pretty effective handling the ball in the half court and even making plays when he decided not to shoot every time the ball touched his hands. Harkless can be a glue guy from either position but I'd imagine the trouble would be with Harris having to guard SG's.
