Re: MVP discussion thread
Lebron's season averages are now 26/6/8 on 58% from the floor, 50% from 3, and 81% from the line. Yeah, I think he'll be right in the thick of the MVP race if not the presumptive favorite soon enough.

Just some insane statlines this week
Didn't Anthony Davis post a 28, 10 4, 5 blks, 6 stls game too?
Here come the kids who grew up playing NBA 2k. Stat stuffing!

CP3, Love, and Paul George are the frontrunners right now imo.. I'm really curious to see if George keeps this up or if he's just having a hot start. CP3 I'm confident can maintain close to this level of play though.
Well I mean lebron isn't the fav if the season ended today lol but as I said before, durant and bron will join Klove, cp3 and Howard in the mix for MVP.
PG isn't in there imo..

You don't think George is up there?
If Pacers finish with the best record in the East and George has a 24/8/4 All-NBA type season, that isn't worthy of consideration?
And I actually think Dwight has little to no chance, honestly. Harden will steal votes + Dwight isn't gonna be the clearcut best player every night, especially if he doesn't get touches.
Nope I don't. I think it's a collective effort for that pacers squad, and lets not forget granger isn't back yet, so PG is getting an opportunity to shine Now. He won't get that many opportunities once granger is good to go.

Dude everyone knows know that this is Paul's team now. Granger is not even going to be a starter, Lance Stephenson has it now.

Lmao does granger know this?
Idk where you geniuses get this bull from where a guy, whose usage % is high, and is the unquestioned go to guy, will apparently somehow not demand the ball because a few fans have a Paul George fetish.
I mean honestly dude.

I don't see Paul George beating Lebron for MVP when they play the same position and virtually everyone alive agrees Lebron is still better. Not to take anything away from George, who is having an amazing season.

Brook Lopez has a per of 30.83 that's second in the league.

No Nets player is winning MVP. That team is starting 5 all stars and bringing like 6 or 7 quality players off the bench, and all of their players are getting limited minutes. Brook will probably have a really efficient year for them and lead the team in scoring, but its just not a situation that is conducive to being named MVP.

Agree 100%. At the end of the season IMO the top 3 MVP candidates will be Lebron, CP3, and Durant, and deservedly so, as they are probably the 3 best players in the game. The player who's stats and team perform best against expectations will have the edge. A guy like Love has an outside shot if his team really surprises because he has a legit argument as best at his position and is likely to continue to fill up the stat sheet. Hard to imagine George overtaking Durant, let alone Lebron, as a top-2 SF.

If you don't know anything about the Pacers, why make a post about them? Clearly ignorant on this subject.
